Week Three

[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.

This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.

Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]

Auto Shop

[Spongebob's been spending a good chunk of his morning looking around the various new locations, and when he sees the auto shop he gets Excited.]

Wow! Hester wasn't lying when she said I can get driving lessons!

[-Oh, Varian is here too! And he seems to be doing something with the boat car. That piques Spongebob's interest even more as he waves at him.]

Hey Varian! What's going on?

Oh, hey Spongebob! I was just checking this out-

[He resurfaces from where he'd been looking under the hood when what Spongebob said catches his attention.]

Wait, driving lessons?

[employeeoftheyear]

Yeah! I used to go take driving class before coming here. [He actually looks a little sheepish.] You know what they wrote about me in the Yearbook, right? Getting my license has been slow going.

[He perks up.]

But I know I'm gonna get it soon!

[alchemistake]

Oh! You have to get a license to drive these things...?

[That's news to him. People don't really have licenses for anything back home...]

Well, it can't be that hard. I mean, it looks pretty sure...I bet it wouldn't go too terribly fast once it's moving since it looks so heavy.

[HAHA...]

[He hops over to the car Varian's working on.]

Oh they do! You see that little gauge on the dashboard that goes from 0 to 160? [He points at it.] That's the Speedometer! It tells you how many miles per hour you're going! And the smaller numbers next to it is the kilometers per hour!

[alchemistake]

Huh...

[Varian leans over to look in the car window so he can see what Spongebob is talking about, and sure enough, there it all is. The SPeedometer, the mile/kilometer listing...everything.]

You sure know a whole lot about cars, huh?

[For someone who doesn't have their license, that is.]

[He laughs sheepishly.]

I guess so! I've always been a lot better at the written portion of boating school than the actual driving portion though.

Driving must be harder than it looks, huh?

[He wouldn't know, obviously...driving a car probably isn't quite like telling a horse where to go, he imagines.]

I'd say so. I don't know how all my friends can drive when I can't get behind the wheel without panicking.

[He looks even more sheepish, somehow.]

[Aw, Spongebob...]

It looks like it can be scary. I mean...this isn't as unpredictable as a horse I'd imagine, but it's still a giant metal machine.
