Week Three

[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.

This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.

Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]

[ Stupid with love.

Janis blinks, suddenly feeling her cheeks flush a little for the first time in. Well, see above statement about having given up on love at age thirteen. ]

I mean. I haven't been on a stage since... rehearsals for the middle school winter talent show? Just. Putting that out there.

[mayavericks]

[Maya watches the color spread over Janis's cheeks with rapt attention. There's something different happening here. This isn't the usual snappy exchange that she might have with her classmates. Something feels warm and, while not entirely new, it feels significantly less confusing or forbidden than what she'd grappled with back at Seisho.]

That just means we will need to spend plenty of time together, getting you up to speed.

[ The smart thing to say here would probably be no. This is a bad place to develop attachments, she's never. Janis can talk a decently big game, but at the end of the day she's never done this.

So why not just dive in? ]

I mean... I'll give it a shot, but first you're going to have to explain who Flora is.

[Maya has described the plot of "Starlight" countless times. She's acted out the love of Claire and Flora again and again.

And yet? Trying to find the words right now seems a difficult task.]

Flora is the beloved of Claire. She is young woman who would do anything to see the memory of her dearest Flora return, so they might recall the promise they made beneath the stars.

Wow, you guys get cooler plays than we do.

[ Wait, no. Focus. ]

What promise?

After their meeting, they felt as if they had known one another for eternity. And so, connected as they were, they swore to meet again the next year, to be together once again.

Annnd it sounds like something got in the way.

[mayavericks]

Claire was injured leaving the festival that year. When they met again as promised, despite Flora's enthusiasm and warmth, she could not remember what they shared.

And so, Flora was determined to restore her memory by climbing the ancient tower, and grasping the stars. Only then could she be granted an eternal wish -- to bring Claire's memory back, so that they may honor the promise to be together.

[fourbutts]

Damn. You go, Flora.

[ She nods. ]

I mean... yeah, I'll give it a shot.

[mayavericks]

She is a truly magnificent woman.

[Said whilst Maya only has eyes for Janis.]

[ oh damian would have a field day with this conversation she's so glad he's not here ]

Heh. And, uh... who would be playing Claire?

[ like she knows the answer, this is barely even said as a question, but. ]

[mayavericks]

Who else but me, Janis?

[She places her hand over her chest.]

Star gathering is the forgiveness of sins.

[Aaand a self-satisfied grin.]

Claire has always been my fated role.

[fourbutts]

[ She gives a low whistle. ]

I'll try not to disappoint, then.

I have all the confidence in the world. I don't select less than the best for my partners.

[ Janis gives a quick fingergun. ]

Uh... when do we start?

[mayavericks]

Whenever you would like. Angus found my script a few days ago. Not that I do not have it memorized.

[fourbutts]

Then, uh... I should probably take a look at that soon, for starters.

[ can she wake up her performing arts muscles maybe so who can say she's just going for it ]
