Week Three

[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.

This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.

Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]

Riley? [Cassandra pauses, thinking the name over, wracking her brain. But no, she can't recall anyone with that name.

But it's true. If she's safe anywhere, then surely it's in the same room as Cassandra.]

Oookay. One thing at a time. So, this Riley person attacked you with a knife, and that's why you decided to leap out of bed screaming. Who is Riley?

Oh. Sorry. It wasn't here-- it was... [Farrah groans. It's all so confusing.]

Sorry. My cheer captain.

"Cheer captain". [She repeats and, just. She hates this. She hates not knowing what most things are in a given conversation. Her frustration as she wraps her head around the meaning of those words is palpably clear.

Cheer captain. Sounded like something Rapunzel would call herself as she oversaw a competition.]

Did you know her? Was she your... friend?

We weren't exactly friends.

But we were teammates and classmates. I knew she hated me, just not... this much.

She hated you enough to attack you with a knife?

But, at least you got away?

[Farrah's quiet. She's very quiet. Farrah's normally not quiet.]

...You got away.

You're standing right here.

She stabbed me a lot, Cassandra.

[Her voice shrinks. She sits down on the risers, and puts her face into her hands.]

It hurt so bad. And I just wanted to close my eyes so it’d all stop. And it did.

I didnt get away.

...Oh. Whoa, hey...

[The way Farrah, on the whole, just immediately shrinks tugs Cassandra forward. Very quickly, she joins her on the risers, sinking down to her level.]

Okay, you... died? [That's a tough pill to swallow, but it's even harder for Cassandra. Just not for the same reasons as others.] Or, maybe you almost did! Maybe whatever the Wizard did saved your life.

I really don’t think I got away. I don’t know what he did, to get me here, but... Oh my God. I don’t know. [She glances at Cassandra, reassured that she’s at least trying to comfort her. And she’s definitely safe from Riley here, at least.]

But you did. You're here, and...

[Cassandra ponders where to take this. Eventually, her hand.. moves. It finds Farrah's shoulder.]

And we will get out of here. And you won't have to go back and face Riley alone.
