Week Three

[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.

This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.

Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]

You get dressed all posh, then ride the horse around and people ooh and ahh at how good the horse listens to her. [She shrugs.]

She was really good-- that's why all the trophies and medals. I've seen some crazy pictures. She hasn't done it since we met, though.

Oh. Yeah. Okay, so.... there’s this thing called youtube, where you can watch little movies on the computer, all over the world.

Like-- video! [Jesus, this is worse than trying to explain snapchat to your parents.] Or-- Okay, basically it's just watching something that happened already.

Sometimes these things go viral-- it's not like being sick, but it spreads like it. And sometimes they get hundreds of thousands of views in just a few days, as people all over the world watch the same video, because it's like. Funny.

Okay. So funny things that have happened already go viral around the world because people want to watch them?

Yeah! Like that! [at least this time she isn't making shit up--- like when she told him Vienna doesn't exist anymore.]

Except, you know-- how sometimes gossip isn't actually all that funny, and it's actually really serious?

Yes, I'm very well aware of that. It can ruin lives, even, if malicious enough. [he's seen it enough times in Court. The wrong word in the wrong ear, and someone ends up in disgrace and sometimes destitute.]

Yeah. Super life wrecking. Anyway, there's this video on there called Epic Cheerleader Fail. Millions of people have seen it, and there are like-- remixes with funny noises-- "WORST CHEERLEADER TEAM EVER" captions--- anyway. In it, this girl starts to lift her teammate for a throw, but she fucks it up-- and the other girl falls.

Which is how I got my concussion. Chess was high, and fucking dropped me, I hit my head, and now I'm internet famous for being the fail cheerleader.

...I beg your pardon, are you saying that the ridicule is on you for getting injured because someone else dropped you? That young woman could've killed you!

[dad is clearly Affronted on her behalf]

Yeah, well, I'm the one that fell. If you don't know cheer, it totally looks like I just... failed. And the video didn't exactly show the ambulances. [oh, yeah, there were ambulances. There was a whole thing.]

[he's not sure what an ambulance is, but that's not what's important here. He huffs, clearly angered]

That's ludicrous. To make such a judgement based on only a small portion of the actual picture. [he folds his arms then, going quiet for a moment] ...however, if it is similar to Court, the decisions based on a lack of information is not unsurprising. [still does not look happy about it though]

...I'm sorry, Farrah. That sounds like a terrible experience.

Yeah, well, high school's a lot like court, but with less head-chopping. [...Does that happen a lot at court? She doesn't know, her frame of reference is literally The Tudors and the Kristen Dunst Marie Antionette movie.]

What can I say? My life's pretty shit. [And over. Both socially and literally.]

And after all that, Riley still came for me! Why not Chess? She's the one who dropped me! [farrah....]

I cannot even begin to understand the mechanisms of her motivations. See seems like someone who would much rather heap the blame on others rather than herself.

I was a pretty big problem.

I just wasn't like, the worst problem.

Not in the least.

Furthermore, problem or no, blaming you for such a thing was incredibly unfair, and much more so the way it was dealt with.
