Week Three

[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.

This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.

Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]

I think so - yeah! Yeah, it is! See, this mark here - Booth got me with his crutch the one time. I wasn't paying close enough attention...

[He lifts it up, delighted.]

This strap's new, though! Wonder where that came from?

[Maya looks it over, like she's somehow going to find an answer in the embroidery.]

Wherever it came from, it's pretty. Very well crafted.

My old one wasn't great, so that's cool.

[He likes his mysteriously-appearing new thing!]

Man, though, I've missed this thing! I've had this guitar forever!

I imagine this will be much easier to use, rather than having to tune and retune the guitars in the music room?

Oh, yeah, I know this thing like the back of my own hand! I've had a bunch of different instruments before - I guess depending on what the actor can play - but I pretty much always have the guitar.

Of course. I imagine it's a bit like breaking the ballet flats and pointe shoes here. They aren't ours, or at least, were not when we arrived here. Even something that small can throw off a performance.

That's true. The guitar I was using here was fine and all, but it really isn't the same. I don't...know if we'll do any more performances...

[He falters at that; after all, the last performance they had, he did with Sissi.]

But either way. It's good to have.

[Maya swallows. It's hard to think of the stage after all of that. But...]

Music and theater are what we love. Our companions would be quite upset to know we were questioning continuing on.

I don't mean forever. I sort of can't.

[What would he even do, if he didn't do any more shows?]

But...here, maybe. I ran into Salieri earlier, he seems like he's got some writer's block. Can't blame him.

That... That much I can understand. Especially how much work he has done on the stage itself. Never mind the fact that Sissi played such a prominent role in the performance.

But...

Perhaps there is something that can be done to bring the inspiration back? Or at least make things a little lighter after all that's happened.

Make things lighter, huh...?

[Well, honestly, the show and related party had seemed to make everybody really happy. But if that's the case, maybe it shouldn't all be on Salieri to organize another one. He seems to put enough pressure on himself without the added weight of being responsible for all group events.]

We could...put on something ourselves?

[mayavericks]

We could.

[She taps a finger to her lips.]

I don't know what we would perform, though. The only script I have is Starlight and... I don't know that it would help. Even if Angus did volunteer to perform as Flora.

[Well, the stuff he knows is generally not that uplifting...]

Are there any scripts in the library? I haven't really looked around in here yet...

I have not either. At least, not for scripts.

Would you like to go take a look with me?

Yeah, sure. We could just do a scene from something, maybe. Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun with that, last week...plus, it's good to keep busy.

[There is, in fact, a drama section! Surprising amount of musical books in there, honestly. This is sort of an awkward time to say so, Maya, but you can find this there!]
