Week Three

[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.

This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.

Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]

[ Orpheus stands up. He may not be the one spearheading the effort to keep track of how much food they're using, but he's a little more comfortable with public speaking than his wife. ]

Um. Eurydice, Peregrine, and I have been keeping track of how much food we use each day and how much comes in each week. It seems like things that we're low on restock on Sunday mornings so far? But only that, and like Maestro Salieri said, the Wizard may stop that if he thinks it'll help with what he's trying to do to us.

I'm not really sure what we can do about it, though. It seems like our main food source aside from what's in the kitchen is what comes out of the vending machines? Including the, um. Strange one. That's been pretty consistent? But who knows if we can rely on it. What would be best is if we could get outside and hunt or forage, but...

Is there anything in there that won't go bad? Like maybe we focus on eating the stuff that goes bad quick and stock up on the other stuff?

[What, she's seen that guy in the woods who drinks his own pee, she knows a few things!]

I think that's a sound plan. It would require quite a bit of organization, as well as a plan for where we can store the stock.

I know a few things about preserving fruits and meat, too, so we can stretch things that way, too. And we've got the library now, so maybe we can look up more than what we already know on that front?

That's a very good idea. Perhaps later this week, on Wednesday or Thursday perhaps, a group could be gotten together to spend time doing what needs to be done to create more preserves?

I'll get together what I can from the library on methods of preserving things? And whoever wants to help can look them over with me and see which ones sound like they'll work here.

[Salieri nods at that] Perhaps then we could get started on making them? Split volunteers up into teams and such?

Right! I'll write down what I can find that looks useful, then anyone who wants to help can join me in the kitchen and we'll start putting things together.
