Week Three

[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.

This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.

Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]

[Honestly, you're allowed to be a little self-absorbed when you're MURDERED.

She holds her hand out to Farrah.]

What happened to you... Is not fair. No one should have to meet their end like that.

I knew the team hated me. But... I liked Riley. She was super intense, and sometimes kind of bitchy, but--- I knew she didn't like me. I fucked everything up. [She glances at Maya's hand-- but ignores it, opting to slump against Maya's shoulder, instead.]

[Oh. Okay. This is happening. Maya reaches over and pats her back carefully.]

You did not... mess up. You had no choice in what happened. You were supposed to be caught and you weren't.

Yeah. But outside of that... I was drunk a lot. It never impacted our cheering, but I spent a lot of time in the locker room getting sick before and after routines.

Then they should have taken the time to get you the help you needed, not -- [She shakes her head, trailing off.]

Even if we competed against one another, we still held each other up at Seisho.

[But even as she says that, she thinks of Claudine. Of her own memory. Her brows pinch in the slightest as she goes quiet.]

Annleigh tried at first. But she just kept getting in trouble for not watching me good enough, and the charm of having a new stepsister wore off quick, since I was --- you know. [Herself.]

That sounds like a nice place to be. Really motivational.

[She really... doesn't know what to say, other than that. She doesn't have siblings, can't empathize one way or another. But... she can at least give Farrah a little squeeze, right?]

... Me too. I wish I tried harder.

You didn't do anything wrong. You are not to blame for your own -- [The D word seems to heavy.] -- for what happened.

I guess you're right. [She sighs, but stays where she is, leaning against Maya, admiring how soft Maya's hair is-- and how comforting it is to have another person here to tell her everything's just as messed up as it feels. It's almost what she had imagined having a big sister to be like.]

I know I suck, but stabbing someone even once is a little too far.

[mayavericks]

[Maya is quick to shake her head, even as she tucks her head down against Farrah's head.]

You don't -- [A beat.] You don't suck. And stabbing anyone is too far.

But as long as you are here, you are not there. Which means we can protect you. And we will.
