Week Two
[Last week, no murder happened! Instead, a lot of students started work on Salieri's school play, which sounds pretty cool even though it's gonna be short, several people destroyed Bigfoot and got a few mysterious clues, and Orpheus started a fire in the kitchen! All in all, not a bad first week!
Though some people might have gone to talk to Hester, she hasn't made any more public announcements. There's some new papers posted up around the cafeteria, but it looks like it's just your upcoming lunch schedule. Seems like nothing's driving you towards Rule Five except, perhaps, all of the kidnapping and how criminally boring some of you are finding the school. Maybe the Balladeer is right, and you really can just wait this out? Only time will tell!]

(( No new locations this week, since y'all haven't paid in blood! Hester's office hours are still open, as are regains! Make sure to complete your first activity check by Tuesday! ))

Well, I can't say I'm a much better dancer, but I promise, I'm much less sticky.
[She holds her hand out, mimicking the same pose she'd seen men on the dance floor fall into when asking a woman to dance.]
We can do this, or just... take a break ourselves. Whatever you want to do.

Cassandra cracks a smile as Elsa acts out the manner of a prince. The kind Cassandra had seen at royal galas time and again, all straight postures and perfect hair. None of them had ever gotten her to dance.]
Well... I guess the frogs would be sad if we didn't put their teachings to good use.
[This is silly! But... Sometimes silly is okay. So, Cassandra accepts Elsa's hand with a demure, little curtsey. Just to continue the mimicry.]
So, how about a simple waltz?
no subject
Now that I can do... in theory. [She looks just a little sheepish.] It, ah... it might help if you lead.

[Silly was so necessary. Cassandra used to think that progress was all they needed, getting from A to B was all that mattered. But maybe... just maybe, a good passing distraction was nice.
Cassandra's hands find Elsa's form, one on her shoulder, the other on her waist. Stiff. A bit uncertain, sheepishly smiling while she leads Elsa into a waltz like the rest of the frogs around them.]
How's this?
[They're so very close now.]

Y-Yeah. [...] I mean- good! Is... is this okay, too? Or is there a different way to hold the, ah. Leader?
no subject
Have her eyes always been this blue?]
Ah... sorry. I was just... This is the formal way of doing it. But it's okay! For me. Is this alright with you?
[Should she have asked? Oh god.]

[It's strange, how you really notice the little things so close like this. She can almost feel the lean muscle beneath the hand on Cassandra's shoulder... or is she just imagining that? Why would she be imagining that???]
Formal, informal... I never really had much practice either way. I only ever watched. [She laughs, a nervous air laced through the sound.] You could be doing things all wrong and I wouldn't know. So this is... it's nice. It's okay.

I had to have practice. Part of the whole Princess-training gig. Maybe... if this club doesn't work out, I could teach you a few things? [hhh that laugh] Trust me, I'm not much better at it.
no subject
[Right, the club... Elsa almost forgot this was some weird attempt by the Wizard to get them to act like this is a school.]
Maybe, instead of teaching... we can learn together. How does that sound?
