Week Two

[Last week, no murder happened! Instead, a lot of students started work on Salieri's school play, which sounds pretty cool even though it's gonna be short, several people destroyed Bigfoot and got a few mysterious clues, and Orpheus started a fire in the kitchen! All in all, not a bad first week!

Though some people might have gone to talk to Hester, she hasn't made any more public announcements. There's some new papers posted up around the cafeteria, but it looks like it's just your upcoming lunch schedule. Seems like nothing's driving you towards Rule Five except, perhaps, all of the kidnapping and how criminally boring some of you are finding the school. Maybe the Balladeer is right, and you really can just wait this out? Only time will tell!]

[Drinking more of that wine. He might go in for a refill, this stuff's alright.]

It was a step above being trapped in stone, if you're looking for very high praise.

Very high praise? Why, Monsieur Discooord. [yeah he sure does drawl out that "o" again] It isn't like you to butter me up like this. One could even say that you are the one in a good mood.

I'm always in a good mood. Good is just relative! But I'm never in a nice mood.

[Must be something in the air. Or the water.]

It was still a subpar spectacle in a school... something.

[...He's a little off his wordplay game tonight, for some reason.]

[he'll get another roll of eyes for that, but this more more amused as it is, surprisingly, accompanied by a chuckle]

A something indeed. [dryly, gesturing at the room they're currently in.] Not an ideal choice of venue, but beggars and being choosy. [he takes another drink of his wine, setting the cup down, before moving to pour himself some more, before holding the wine up, arching an eyebrow at Discord in question]

[...Yes please he will have some more. Holding his cup out, thanks.]

I could've snapped my fingers and just magic'd up a better stage myself, if this place wasn't dampening my powers. And if, you know, I cared enough.

[he'll pour him some more wine, then, before setting the bottle back on the table]

There is that, I suppose. [he'll toast Discord briefly, before taking another drink]

So, obviously you would not magic up a stage. What would you magic up?

This entire place to dissolve into sand, maybe. Make sand castles out of what's left.

Or make it fall over like cheap cardboard. Maybe a flood of chocolate in the principal's office. [Taking a sip.] Or wine.

[At the last two, Salieri's expression somehow...sparks with interest, smirk curling the corner of his mouth again]

One would think chocolate or wine would be far too kind. People like those sorts of things, you know.

[he shifts to put his elbows on the table, leaning towards Discord, expression turning almost conspiratorial]

Perhaps something more...disgusting? Water from the Wien would be a good option.

You think that, but it's impossible to clean up. But I suppose I can be open to suggestions

Not that I'm familiar with your suggestion. I'll take your word for it, though. [He leans back, relaxed.] Maybe I should open up a suggestion box.

The Wien River flows through Vienna, where I'm from, and it is absolutely vile in the middle of town. [he smirks around his cup, taking another sip, still leaned across the table towards him] You certainly could open a suggestion box. I'm certain everyone here could come up with some very creative options out of spite alone.

I'm definitely feeling pretty spiteful. I should flood the office.

...There's no rule against it. Don't even need my magic, I could just do that!

[That probably counts as harassment.]

Technically it wouldn't hurt them in any way... [mildly, but he's watching Discord with a full-on smirk now]

Exactly! I don't see why I couldn't.

Just have to fill up some buckets.

[He's... downing that glass pretty quick, huh?]

[Salieri props his chin in his hand, tilting his head slightly in thought] I haven't seen any buckets myself, but there are certainly some rather large pots in the kitchen.

There's paint buckets around. [He's leaning closer and oh god is he leaning on Salieri's shoulder what--] I should know, I've emptied several!

[Salieri feels a slight weight on his shoulder and he blinks, turning his head to glance at where Discord is now leaning.

Huh.

He should probably shove him off, but his good mood combined with the alcohol makes that seem like so much effort. Instead, he just snorts at that, half a chuckle]

I do not find that shocking in the least. The results of your work are plainly scattered throughout this place.

[Just casually leaning.]

And isn't it so much better this way? The walls were so drab before me.

Yes, yes, I'll admit that your paintings has certainly livened up the space.

[Salieri takes another drink from his wine glass, setting it back down, moving to pour himself another half a glass--and leaning over slightly to peer into Discord's glass, seeing where he's at]

[Oh that cup is empty already.]

Seeeee, you do appreciate my presence!

[he sniffs at that, tilting his chin up, nose going up in the air, even as he pours him some more wine]

I'll have you know, monsieur, that I despise your very existence, down to my core. [haughtily]

Yes, yes, loathing, the whole thing.

[He remembers the song.]
