Week One

[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?

Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.

If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]

Weird is kiinda an understatement. [Aha.] First, I’m abducted by aliens, then I find out I’m stuck with a whole load of aliens who’ve been kidnapped, and this whole place is some kind of...alien vessel with long nests and shiny ground and these ‘handle’...things. I-it’s not exactly built for penguins.

Yep. [He squints a little.] You know, every time I mention that - people get a little weird about it. Not - not like bad weird, but, y'know [He tilts his head to the side.] weird.

Well, most humans only ever interact with their own kind, you know? I've never met anyone of another species before.

Human! That’s what our species is called. Not that every single one of us is human, sounds like.

Oh, no, I know that. [He's been corrected from calling them Aliens enough times now.] What was that ...other part?

Well, penguins usually have white and dark feathers and, I - I don't know if I'd call my eyes huge, but... [Pause.] School uniform?

And - yeah, but I'm not seeing any feathers or anything.

[Mumble raises an eyebrow.]

This guitar pick's kinda shiny. [It's gold!] Found it in the band room. Why do you ask?

[Deep breath.]

Oh - there's mirrors in the bathrooms.

[He drops the pick in shock. Honestly, he's shocked he could even pick it up with those...flipper. Things.]

[He already knows the answer to this, but he's going to hope.]
