Week One

[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?

Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.

If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]

[Unsurprising. There's not much else to do here aside from read up on those books and poke around the new rooms.]

Oh, no. I'm terrible at dancing. [Hard to learn when you couldn't come into close contact with anyone for most of your life.] I love watching it, though. That was beautiful - how long have you been training?

Oh, I'm certain you're not terrible.

[Maybe she's preening a little as she moves into her next routine. It's a little slower, since she's distracted but... She can't let anyone break her focus.]

As long as I can remember. My parents were both performers. It's only natural that I would follow in their footsteps.

[Look there's a reason she pawned Anna off on the Duke at her coronation, and it wasn't just to tease her sister or because she was still deeply rooted in her fear of touching others.]

What style of performances are your preference? Ballet? Theater?

[mayavericks]

Theatre mostly. [She pushes up onto the tips of her toes, then folds a leg upward.]

Though, my school requires that I be proficient in all forms of dance. Ballet, tap, contemporary. I have to be ready for whatever roles may come my way.

[Ah, that makes sense. If she's going to a school for this, it must be a bit harder to focus on exactly one type of art you wish to perform.]

Are there any roles in particular you like to play, more than others?

Not really, no.

[She shakes her head.]

Each role is a challenge in its own right. A new face to wear, a new story to tell. I relish being able to showcase my abilities like that.

[Elsa looks... actually quite impressed at that.]

Wow. The skill you would need to play any role like that... I've met some actors who will only play heroes, or who will only play villains, or those in between... I can't imagine being able to do it all.

Ah, in a good way, I mean! That's amazing.

You say that, and yet I can't help but feel that it sounds far too limiting! [Maya is no stranger to praise but... There's something refreshing about the way Elsa speaks to her. She can't help but be enthusiastic.]

Whatever the leading role is, I will play it. Hero or villain, it does not matter.
