[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?

Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.

If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]

Oh, I'd recognize my magic anywhere. I'm pretty good at feeling magical imbalances in general, but mine has a very specific vibe, you know?

But I definitely didn't make these.

How is that possible, though? It's not like...somebody could take your magic and use it, right?

[He's not entirely sure that's how magic even works, really. It's not exactly his area of expertise.]

Of course not. Stealing magic from others, maybe, sure. But not from me. I'm far too powerful to fall prey to something like that.

[While Varian has no doubts that's probably true, if Discord were as powerful as he says...he wouldn't have gotten caught in the first place, right?

Impressive, but also...kindof concerning. If your magic is that strong, and they can mimic it to the point where it's almost indistinguishable from yours...well, I'm starting to get a better idea for how they got us here so easily.

I suppose it would explain a few things. Obviously they're pretty powerful to get me here, stone or not, but...

Once you've been petrified for a thousand years, the novelty of it really wears off.

They may have just brought me to liven up the place. But yes, it was a very poor decision. For that reason and also all the trouble I'll cause once my magic is back in working order.

Well...I can't see things getting too boring with that kind of attitude, that's for sure.

I would hope not! "Boring" goes against my whole thing, so I have to make sure things stay lively. Even with rather limited ways of making that happen here.
