Week One

[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?

Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.

If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]

Me? Naah...just something I've picked up. See, my dad wanted me to get into another hobby besides alchemy and inventing...something a lot less volatile in his opinion, I imagine.

I've heard of it, but I don't think it's really a thing where I come from.

Yeaaah, I've been hearing that a lot...apparently alchemy is pretty old science, compared to what this place has. As much as I'd rather not be held here against my will, I'd be lying if I said it wasn't fascinating to learn about.

I bet! I'm not even in to science, but listening to people from the future talk about tech is so cool.

[She remembers Anugs describing what it was like to travel in space and smiles.]

Oh! Do you think you could use like an acid or something to burn through the door and get us out?

Could I? If I can get my hands on the right chemicals, I could make an acid in my sleep.

[Probably not something you want to be telling people, but...he also burns holes in the floor with his experiments literally all the time on accident, so there's that.]

We should look around! This is a school, there has to be a chemistry room somewhere.

That'd be nice...I'll keep my eyes open, but it looks like all the rooms I've been to so far don't have anything like that. Maybe it's where we can't get to right now?

Probably. The only real classrooms we've seen so far are the ones we're all sleeping in right now, and none of those really have the chem lab set up.

[Unless they were seriously remodeled.]

I'll admit, this is also my first time being in a school like this one, so I don't know a whole lot about how they're meant to be set up. It almost feels too big...

A lot of public schools are huge like this. I went to a smaller private school, but a few of my friends in the Delta Nu's had schools with over 5000 students in them.

H-how come there are only twenty of us here now, then? Doesn't that number seem...low?

Maybe that many would be harder to manage? Or maybe he couldn't bring that many.

Mm...yeah, you have a point. We're kindof hard enough to manage now, given our group.
