[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?

Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.

If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]

[Connor is a person who would sleep for 12 hours and then go "I could sleep for 12 more." He doesn't appreciate being awake right now.]

[Varian sighs, but he's not going to force Connor to stay if he'd rather go back to bed. He's more relieved that Salieri is okay than anything...

Speaking of, he'll turn back to him now, frowning.]

Startled? What happened, exactly?

[Speaking of Salieri, he's going to sit up slowly, wincing, rubbing at the back of his head--before gesturing to the open doorway and the mannequin just beyond]

Shall we say I didn't expect to be greeted by someone at the door so early?

[The fuck is that-]

...is that one of the mannqeuins from the costume shop?

It seems to be. [GRUMBLED he is not exactly pleased about the situation, if not a little embarrassed]

Any idea who could have put that there...?

[Varian...can think of Someone, actually...]

[there's a pause--and Salieri's expression goes straight into something that can only be described as Tired]

I...can certainly think of someone.

[It's okay Salieri we're all tired here.

Varian is quiet for a moment.]

Lemme guess. Discord?

Who else? [he allows himself a small sigh] At least it's not actually him standing there. [DRY. But he's going to start tying to lever himself to his feet]

[Here- Varian will help you up, Salieri.]

Yeaaah, we'd probably have more trouble if that were the case...

[Or at least, a very loud argument to contend with.]

I'm actually surprised this is the first prank I've seen him pull, with how much he said he enjoys chaos.

[oh, well, he'll accept that help gratefully] Ah, thank you.

[at that, though, he huffs (and listen Varian you're not wrong abt that argument)] He's been busy painting the walls instead, I believe. A shame that he seems to have lost interest in that now.

Painting...the walls? That's it?

[I mean, he guesses that's KINDOF chaotic...]

[HE DOESN'T HAVE A LOT TO WORK WITH OKAY]

It was very chaotic painting. [SO DRY. DRY AS A DESERT--but there's a bit of a curl to the corner of his mouth. Salieri? Poking fun at Discord?? Never] Or meant to be, I'm sure.

[Oh my god, Salieri...Varian just. Pats his arm, dusting him off.]

Sounds like you guys are great friends, huh?

[he'll get a bit of a huff for that, dusting himself off as well]

The best of, in fact. [deadpan] I don't know how I ever lived before meeting the man.

Look on the bright side. At least he's not one of our roommates?

[Haha...]

Honestly, the only small mercy we've had here so far. [he sends a disgusted look at that mannequin] At least we don't have to suffer these kinds of puerile displays as constantly as I'm sure his other roommates must.

[Varian wants to tell Salieri that it's a pretty harmless prank, all things considered, but he DID sort of just think the man was dead so maybe that's not the best time for it...]

Something tells me he's found a target, though.

[Because as much as Varian HAS talked about Discord's work with him, he hasn't yet been a subject of it.]

[Salieri pauses at that, turning his head slightly, glancing at Varian with an arched eyebrow--before he huffs out a sigh]

If it's anyone aside from myself, I would certainly like to know it. [he snorts] Perhaps we could form an alliance. [dry and sarcastic on that one]

Would you fight back?

[He shouldn't encourage this because Dads, Dads, please don't fight, but also

it's kinda funny]

[At that, Salieri's expression slides into something a little more...conspiratorial]

...perhaps. [he considers] However...I believe my method of, as you say, fighting back would be a bit different than what Monsieur Discord would expect.

Oh yeah? What would you do?

[Salieri leans back against one of the bunk bed posts, folding his arms]

My strength lies in my words, I believe. Whatever it would be, would be far more subtle and conversational than his--[SAID WITH MUCH ANNOYANCE AND DISTASTE]--methods.

[So when's that rap battle happening cause he wants front row seats]

Honestly, it sounds more to me like he's looking to get a rise out of you.
