Week One
[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?
Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.
If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]

(( OOC: This will be the last mod post for this week! Feel free to start submitting regains for any threads that aren't with Hester. Remember, song threads mean an extra coin! This is a peace week, so get all that CR while you can! ))

Yeah, this...this is incredible, Elsa. It's so detailed and everything...
[And it isn't immediately melting at his touch either, likely also due to her magic. He'll look up as he says that, his fingers curiously feeling over the sun's points, cold and wet but still remaining intact even as it's handled.]
I had no idea you could do magic like this. Why didn't you say so before?
no subject
Well... I don't know what it's like in Corona or any of the other kingdoms, but magic is a very rare thing in Arendelle. With something like that... I don't want to scare people.
[Or turn their disgust on herself. Honestly, she hasn't really worried about that in a long time now, but not being upfront about her magic is more just a force of habit, rather than her actually hiding her powers.]
With everything going on, the kidnapping, the insistence that we murder to get out of this place... letting everyone know that there's someone who can do all sorts of things with magic that could be potentially risky [not dangerous, not anymore] seemed like a bad idea.

[Maybe he should have been less...open about all of the mad sciency things he does, but it's probably fine. Not like he has a chemistry lab here to use or anything. Without that, he can't do much more than tinker.]
I'd say it's definitely a bit more commonplace in Corona, but not by a whole lot. I mean, you don't have people walking around the city being able to use magic or anything, and the only person I know who has any magic in her wasn't exactly intended to be born with it.

Really? [This is different from when Orpheus showed her his magic. That was amazing, no doubt, but this is someone from her world. Someone she could possibly meet outside of this terrible place.] Who is she?

I don't know the story as well as most, just from hearsay and what Rapunzel mentioned to me herself...but when the Queen was in labor, she fell very ill. Her life was saved by the healing power that exists in a very rare flower in Corona...and its power was transferred to her child when she was born.
no subject
But she hadn't heard anything of the sort since, not even when Rapunzel had visited during her coronation. Fascinating.]
So Rapunzel can heal... I can only imagine how useful an ability that must be. [Better than magic that can lay curses on people, intentionally or not.] I bet you and all of her friends must feel very safe around her, then.

[He purses his lips, looking off to the side.]
You see...her hair was cut, and because of that the healing power was lost. But then, when she came to me? Somehow it's all grown back, just like that. Only, it's indestructable now. Like, it won't break for anything.
[It'll break everything else, though.]
My only theory right now is that it has something to do with the rocks I mentioned, but...I don't know for sure. It's a lot of strange magic going on, I know that much.
no subject
Did her hair grow back because of the rocks... or could it be the other way around? That the rocks are there because of her?
no subject
[Varian sighs. It's a very confusing and albeit frustrating situation all around, if he's honest.]
Her hair is at the very least connected to the Sundrop flower, but...as far as I know, it no longer exists.
