[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?

Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.

If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]

[He nods, and the mask shifts just enough that when he lifts his head back, its eye holes are unaligned with his own. Angus adjusts it.]

It wasn't designed for me. Or it was designed for ceremonial purposes. Either way, it may be useful in the future.

I guess that makes sense. But... useful?

[She steps forward, looking the mask over... and raps her knuckle against its wooden surface.]

How? You think there's uses for some of this junk, besides, I don't know, summoning rain?

[mcfife]

Well, there's food. [He gestures at the coffee, pie, and soda on the floor.] And decorations for our rooms. But this [He holds up the award statue.] may become a tool in the near future.

Not all enchanted artifacts are large and mighty. Who knows, we may discover a secret purpose for all this loot!

...There's entire pies in that thing?

[Which is what she's being caught up on.]

If anything, we've already found a purpose for it.

Yes, through magic. It's something different than the offerings in the cafeteria.

Now if it could dispense beer, we could have a proper party.

Magic. Of course. There's always something magical involved.

Just between you and me, letting people stuck in this enclosed space have beer would probably be a bad idea.

[mcfife]

Why not? Beer brings the hearts of warriors closer, and we need everyone to be allied together if we are to escape.

[feudalladyshandmaid]

It does, huh? [She's not very accusatory. She's... never actually heard that before.] Doesn't a large amount of alcohol usually lead to some bad decisions, too?

[mcfife]

That too, but a bit of courage can make the difference between a coward and a hero.
