Week One
[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?
Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.
If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]
Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | Saturday
(( OOC: This will be the last mod post for this week! Feel free to start submitting regains for any threads that aren't with Hester. Remember, song threads mean an extra coin! This is a peace week, so get all that CR while you can! ))

[ She looks back down at it. ]
It says I'm in a club that I'm not...

[Varian finally opens his bottle as he says that, having thoughtlessly toyed with the cap for long enough.]
What does that mean?

Do they have um... professional singers in your kingdom? [ if it's a kingdom then maybe-- ] Like... bards?
School idols are kind of like that. They're teenage girls in high school who decide to become singers and put on live shows for other students. Usually they form groups but sometimes they perform solo - but everything they do they do themselves. Composing their own songs, writing the lyrics, choreographing their dances, making their own costumes... they put a lot of hard work into it.
[ Good thing she googled this the night before showing up here after seeing Setsuna on the roof. ]

[Singing just somes up sort of...diagetically in his world, but it isn't professional per-say. So yeah, a Bard is probably the best comparison Rina could make that Varian would actually get.]
Man, that sounds like a lot of work for sure. And you said it's professional, right? They do all that with the plan of doing it as a job one day?
no subject
Not really. Some of them do but... a lot stop after they graduate. Sometimes they just have other dreams they want to pursue, sometimes they don't want to deal with the hardships surrounding going professional, and sometimes they're just fine with leaving it as a fun experience they did when they were young.
I know one of the most famous groups stopped completely after their oldest members graduated because the group wouldn't be the same without all nine of them.
[ And closing her eyes she begins to sing softly and quietly ]
We won't ever forget this
Until the end of time
That our hearts can become one like this
We've discovered the world
So let us sing with joy
Until the very end
We are one...

His expression softens with understanding.]
I don't think it's too out there to assume you'd be part of one of those clubs. I mean, you sing...great.
[This isn't taking into account how shy she seems, but he's not going to SAY that.]

...Really? You think so?
no subject
Well, sure! Your voice is really nice. I imagine it would sound even better in a group, too.

She looks down, eyes set on the yearbook in front of her. ]
Th... Thank you.
...Truth is... I was thinking of joining...

[Like, knowing stuff about them is one thing, but that?]

[ She looks back up ]
What about yours? Does it all look right?

[Which he guesses is a fair mistake to make. He'd rather be seen as older than younger anyway.]
