Week One

[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?

Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.

If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]

Benjamin's heart aches for her. She may not start crying, but she's obviously still upset. He pulls up a chair next to her and hesitates for a second, before he puts his hand on the back of her chair instead of her back.]

Tsk... [He clucks his tongue sympathetically.] There, there. You're better off without the likes of him, anyway, pet.

[The show of sympathy does make way for a few tears, which she wipes away furiously.]

He wants to go into politics and he said he needs someone more-

[She gives a big sniff.]

[Poor pet.]

If I may offer some unsolicited advice, my dear?

[She gives another sniff and nods. This guy's married, he probably knows what's up!]

[barberic]

[He gives her a sympathetic smile.]

You'll never be happy with someone you have to prove yourself to. What you deserve is a man who makes a fool of himself just to be with you. One who spends his waking thoughts on how to make you smile.

[At least, that's how he feels about Lucy.]

A man who expects you to show him you're "serious" isn't serious about marriage at all.

[She isn't pouting, but her lip is jut out just a little bit.]

[After a second, he pinches his lips into a thin smile.]

Then for your sake, my dear, I hope he proves me utterly wrong.

I'm sure he will.

Ugh, I'm sorry. I haven't even introduced myself before I started crying on you! [She sticks out a hand.]

I'm Elle Woods.

[barberic]

[He chuckles, taking her hand and shaking it courteously.]

No problem at all, Miss Woods.

I'm Benjamin Barker. A pleasure to make your acquaintance.

Oh please, call me Elle.

[Her handshake is a bit more firm than one might expect when first looking at her.]

I'll have these fixed up in now time!

[barberic]

Lady Elle, then.

[He says with a playful smirk and a polite bow of his head.]

Thank you again for your assistance.

It's no trouble at all. Not like we have a lot else to do around here. I'll bring them by your dorm when they're finished.

[He nods.]

If you can't find me there, you can leave them on top of my trunk.

[He stands from his chair, but his hand lingers on the back of hers for a second.]
