Week One

[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?

Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.

If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]

[ There's people doing yoga here, right? Dance room's where they said. That's what Peregrine's goal is. To her surprise, she doesn't find Elle but Farrah instead, in the midst of a...what's this, is... ]

...Are you a cheerleader?

[Oh shit, she's been caught. Farrah freezes mid high-kick, then. lowers her leg. She's quiet a few moments, fixing her hair in the mirrors, almost like she hadn't heard Peregrine. Then she speaks up.]

Ugh. Yes.

[ What do you know. Peregrine enters the room, previous yoga agenda gone from her mind. ]

Whoa. I...really wouldn't have called that, actually.

Wow, rude. Can't you tell I'm just exuding with school spirit? [She crosses her arms, furthering Peregrine's own point.]

I did some dance, in elementary school, and my new step-sister was on the cheer team at her-- our high school. It just made sense.

[ Peregrine’s eyebrows raise to her hairline. ]

Hey, it’s not an insult. All the cheerleaders I know are just…pom-pom princesses. [ They also are well. ] …You joined cheer ‘cause of your step-sister?

It made rides to and from school a lot easier, even if her boyfriend drives like an overly cautious grandma. She’s definitely a pom-pom princess, but in a “The Lord is my Father so I’m a Princess” kind of way.

What about you? Some kind of softball, or judo, or...? [She saw her going at that door.]

[ Her nose wrinkles. ] Oh. I'm familiar with those types.

No, I'm not in any clubs or sports. I'm more into...survivalism. Not for school or anything, for me.

Oh. That's cool, I guess. Like girlscouts, but more hardcore?

[ She snorts. ]

So not like Girl Scouts. I'm training to be able to survive if I get stuck somewhere I have to fend for myself.
