WEEK 2
[From the day you arrived on the planet, and blinking, stepped into the sun. There's more to see than can ever be seen, and more to do than can ever be done. Yet, still, the whole thing seems...monotonous. Surely there must be some excitement, some showmanship, some sort of plot twist that could keep this show moving onward?

[It's starting to dawn on Hime that when this place isn't terrifying, it's almost boring. Well, that can't do. She's going to MAKE it interesting! ...Somehow.

To that end, you can find her in the costume shop in the morning, trying to sew... something. Something very lumpy and square. She tosses it across the room and whines.]

What am I supposed to do if I can't even sew a stupid cushion!?

[What indeed. Later in the day, she'll go back to the music room and try out the instruments again. At least the drum kit doesn't produce horrible noises if you don't know how to play it, generally.

When night approaches, Hime's in the ballroom twirling around in circles. She flops down onto the floor and stares up at the chandelier for a while.]

There's nothing to do.

Costume Shop

[There is a boomph as the cushion hits something, followed by a long pause.]

Hello.

[She caught the cushion, would Hime like it back?]

[rockthistown]

[Eep! Hime makes herself smaller and looks up.]

Sorry...

[solomonjihad]

...Its...all right.

[Right? Such impudence...]

I'm not hurt.

[rockthistown]

[She slowly starts to sit up.] I didn't see you. I was just mad because I can't sew something simple.

[solomonjihad]

What were you trying to sue?

[It...looks familiar, but-]

I thought making a cushion was going to be the simplest thing, since it's just putting panels together, but I can't even do that right. People are supposed to learn these things.

[solomonjihad]

I...never learned how.

[Does...that help? Does Hime feel better?]

[rockthistown]

[sigh] How about cooking or washing? I just started learning to cook when my friend started teaching me after I had a fight with Ribbon over being given a healthy lunch instead of cake, and I don't really know any of the other things I've always had done for me.

[ Nothing to do? Why, in Hans' days people had nothing to do all the time! And they liked liked it! Hans is actually really bored too, but. Shh. He totally knows what to do here. ]

Have you tried twirling, but with socks?

[ Look, Hans totally knows how to have fun. Even with kids. Somehow. ]

Twirling with socks? I don't get it.

Socks, you know. To slide around on!

[ Anna was totally into this!! ]

It's much better than just dancing otherwise.

[rockthistown]

I guess so. [Hime gets up and shuffles her shoes to the side.] This place is starting to get really boring, isn't it?

[trettende]

Here, watch. It's almost like ice skating.

[ He is going to take off his boots too because he's committed now. ]

You're right, though. We may need to find something to entertain ourselves with at some point. Maybe the Balladeer could provide us with some cards?

[ Do women play cards? Sure, if they can wear pants, then why not. ]

I guess. I do have some friends from the Card Kingdom who taught us a couple of games.

[She gives a cautious slide across the floor.]

[ Card Kingdom? Ok, sounds fake but ok ]

With everyone being from so many places, I'll bet we'd take quite a while to run out of card games.

[ You gotta do it with flourish, Hime! Hans clearly has no problem making a fool of himself as he picks up to a run and then sliiiides before managing to break. ]

[look, at least she didn't mention the Sweets Kingdom]

Since they're mostly Earths, wouldn't they have the same ones?

[Okay, she's going to try that-- whoa, almost fell -- okay, there we go!]

[She happens to be in the room as she watches Hime drop down onto the floor, considering what she's saying thoughtfully.]

I mean... Isn't that a good thing? If we're super bored, maybe the people who are in charge will get super bored too and let us go.

Do you mean like how we're supposed to be some kind of reality show?

Yeah, that's basically what that one guy said.

[She frowns.]

And I think boredom beats the alternative in this case.

I don't think anybody's going to kill anyone... hopefully. We made it a whole week, right?

[robitussin]

I wouldn't hold your breath just yet.

Why? What else could happen to make people change their minds?

I don't know, but do you really trust a bunch of people we've known for, like, a week?

Yes? I mean, sometimes it's scary to talk to them, but they all seem nice.
