WEEK 2
[From the day you arrived on the planet, and blinking, stepped into the sun. There's more to see than can ever be seen, and more to do than can ever be done. Yet, still, the whole thing seems...monotonous. Surely there must be some excitement, some showmanship, some sort of plot twist that could keep this show moving onward?

I don't think anybody's going to kill anyone... hopefully. We made it a whole week, right?

I wouldn't hold your breath just yet.

Why? What else could happen to make people change their minds?

[robitussin]

I don't know, but do you really trust a bunch of people we've known for, like, a week?

[rockthistown]

Yes? I mean, sometimes it's scary to talk to them, but they all seem nice.

[robitussin]

Thinking they seem nice doesn't mean you should trust them.

[rockthistown]

It's a little scary, but shouldn't we depend on each other to try and escape?

[robitussin]

Well, yeah. You don't have to trust someone to cooperate with them.

[rockthistown]

That's kind of a depressing outlook.

[robitussin]

It's also one that's less likely to get me shanked, so I'll take it.

Okay... I really hope I'm right, though.

[robitussin]

I mean, I'm not saying I won't be relieved if you're right, but I'm not going to get my hopes up or let my guard down.

[rockthistown]

...What'll we do if someone does die in here?

[robitussin]

I don't know. I mean, the rule is that we can leave if someone commits a murder and isn't found out, right? That implies that we'll have a chance to catch them, but... Who knows.

[rockthistown]

Like investigate? On our own?

[robitussin]

I don't know what they want us to do! But, I mean, if that happens... I'm going to want to know who did it.

[rockthistown]

I guess... I don't know how to do that kind of thing without help. I mean, investigate! But not the other thing either!

[robitussin]

It isn't like you're the only person here. And... Yeah, while I'm still not going to trust anyone, you don't seem like the murder type.

[rockthistown]

I guess so... That's right, everybody would, right? So even if we don't have tools to help, we could still try and stop anyone from getting away with it. I still really hope it doesn't come to that, though.

[robitussin]

Hoping it doesn't come to that won't change anything. It'll happen or it won't.

[rockthistown]

Then isn't it still important to hope?

[robitussin]

[shrugs]

For temporary emotional wellbeing, I guess?

[rockthistown]
