[Well, all escape attempts have failed thus far. None of you have seen the Phantom since his brief appearance on Sunday, or heard from him at all. It looks like, for the time being, you’re all going to be stuck here.

You're free to continue exploring your surroundings to your hearts' content. The only real restriction on your movements is that the kitchen is closed between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am. Better make sure to grab any midnight snacks you may want ahead of time. Also, remember to label any investigation toplevels!

The Merchandise Booth is now open for business as well! The Phantom hasn't deigned to explain how it works, but...well, some of you will start to find mysterious coins in your rooms, and the Booth's got a place to put coins. You'll figure it out.

Should you wish to engage more with your host, you're welcome to drop letters in the box office slot. There's no set way to converse verbally with him, and he's certainly not guaranteed to respond if you just yell at the walls - but that doesn't necessarily mean he isn't listening. Just something to keep in mind.

You think this is enough candles?

[He brought one for each of them, also some matches, and also some of those funky candleholders with the rings for holding so none of them have to get wax on their hands!

He's currently sort of. Juggling it all together; it's too awkward to light any of the candles in this situation, less he risk a burn.

He also, however, gives an unhappy look around at all the mirrors]

God, this place is creepy.

[Now it's Sigyn's turn to jump. Luckily she isn't near a hole in the ground. Once her heart stops beating quite so hard she slowly turns to take the candle and holder from Stephen.]

I feel like he did that on purpose.

[Angus has encountered friends sneaking up on him in dark caverns before, but it's still creepy.]

I'm sure...

Anyway, thank you for the light, Doctor. This should help Sigyn pick the lock.

[On purpose? Rude. He frowns slightly, but doesn't comment.

But he'll hand them both candles and candleholders, keeping the matches to light one for himself and then use that to light theirs if they want]

Brought the bobbypins, too. And a couple other things.

[He offers Sigyn a knife, handle-first.]

[She takes the knife, feeling just a little more at ease with a weapon at her disposal. ]

Alright, Let's go.

[She starts down the hallway towards the trap door, careful not to pay too much attention to the mirrors]

[Angus follows, carrying the candle besides Sigyn. Once they reach the trapdoor, he kneels in front, holding the light to help her see the lock.]

with Angus standing to help Sigyn pick the lock (hopefully), Stephen takes up more of a watch position, making sure nobody else comes - or, if they do, they're someone he recognizes]

[Sigyn gets down of the ground, setting the candle next to the lock, and gets to work.

It's strange, trusting two people she hasn't even known a week to watch her back. But then again this who situation is rather strange.]

You both have weapons as well, right?

[Angus raises his broom to the heavens, only to be interrupted by the low ceiling.]

I come prepared.

[Sigyn looks up, raising an eyebrow at Stephen specifically before getting back to work.

A few minutes later she lets out a groan of frustration.]

This is the front door all over again!

Can't you break it?

[He moves the candle closer to the lock. There must be a way to break through!]

Maybe if you had better tools?

[Sigyn sighs and pushes herself into a sitting position]

It's like sticking it in a hole in the wall. I can't feel any tumblers or latches, nothing that would be in a normal analog lock. Maybe it's electronic?

Then we must find an electronic key! [He points his finger in the air...before slowly lowering it at knowing how difficult that sounds.] However that is done.


What of the door itself? Could we tear off the hinges?

They exist. [Just to affirm to Angus] But I don't see anywhere to use it, and that'd be even harder to break if we can't access any of the wiring.

[Sigyn stands up and stomps on the door several times.]

We could always just annoy him out of his hole.
