[Well, all escape attempts have failed thus far. None of you have seen the Phantom since his brief appearance on Sunday, or heard from him at all. It looks like, for the time being, you’re all going to be stuck here.

You're free to continue exploring your surroundings to your hearts' content. The only real restriction on your movements is that the kitchen is closed between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am. Better make sure to grab any midnight snacks you may want ahead of time. Also, remember to label any investigation toplevels!

The Merchandise Booth is now open for business as well! The Phantom hasn't deigned to explain how it works, but...well, some of you will start to find mysterious coins in your rooms, and the Booth's got a place to put coins. You'll figure it out.

Should you wish to engage more with your host, you're welcome to drop letters in the box office slot. There's no set way to converse verbally with him, and he's certainly not guaranteed to respond if you just yell at the walls - but that doesn't necessarily mean he isn't listening. Just something to keep in mind.

[Riley has been so positive since they all got here Sigyn almost thought she wasn't capable of being sad. It was stupid, of course Riley would be feeling the same stress they all were.

She gives a small smile.]

I wouldn’t say bad, exactly, but it’s disappointing. I was hoping for a straight answer about something and got a complete non-answer instead.

[Early in the morning a wonderful smell wafts from the kitchen Sigyn stands at the stove wearing a simple white apron over her clothes, flipping pancakes. Beside the stove sits a plate piled high with perfectly cooked bacon.

Sigyn herself looks tired. She gives you a smile as you come in, but that only seems to emphasize the dark circles that are forming under her eyes. ]/b>

Come on in, help yourself. Eggs are up next.

Well, I suppose we can't expect too much luxury in a prison.

[Sigyn leans against the door frame]

Let me guess- you wrote to the Phantom.

Can I ask what you asked him?

I did, yes. I asked him if he had an explanation for why my classmate Nana and I were brought here four months apart. All I got back was a non-answer saying it was because of our respective circumstances, whatever that’s supposed to mean.

[ She looks back up then, trying to get her normal smile back on. ]

Right? That's how I felt when I first read it; a story about close people being separated from each other is just too sad...

But... a lot of famous plays in our field are like that. [ Takarazuka love that melodrama. ] I guess people are just drawn to these sorts of tragic stories... like Romeo and Juliet or Orpheus and Eurydice. They know how it ends but still begin to sing it again...

[ As if it might turn out this time. ]

Still... sometimes I wish I could just freeze the story before it gets to the ending and let them be happy forever.

[ She pulls her up. ]

Maybe you can if we ever get out of here. We actually put it on every year-- the idea is that each year we can show our growth as students by improving the production every time. It's kind of like... a final exam that way?

[ a pause ]

Yes... that's also true.

But still, it's a good thing to keep in mind. It's the most information we have to go on right now.

[ She keeps smiling but it turns a little sad. ]

...Well. As okay as I can be, yeah. I feel better not being alone in all this though. I'd probably be a lot worse off if all of you weren't so kind.

Okay then!

So this recipe you need flour, sugar, mashed bananas, an egg, baking soda, salt, vanilla extract and vegetable oil. I also put a little bit of cinnamon in mine to make them even better, and sometimes oats or sliced almonds to put on top.

[ All the ingredients are already out from her last batch thankfully... well except another egg but that's easy to grab. She grabs a measuring cup to hold up. ]

You measure them all with these. You have to make sure to use the exact right amount with baking or else it can throw everything off.

I could imagine how - if he's able to cross spacetime, then time itself wouldn't be a problem.

Why, though...[hm.] It probably relates to why you two were chosen in specific, as opposed anyone else. [Same as Jeremy and Christine. And him. And Ariel. Etc.]

[ Claudine will find a banana muffin outstretched to her. Where did Nana come from? Who knows. She came very quietly though that's for sure. ]

You look like you could use one of these right now. I made blueberry as well today.

[ She sees that letter. She has a hunch it might not be too good. ]

[ Nana was on her way to the box office with a covered plate when she sees Riley sitting against the merchandise booth with the trophy. ]

Of course, of course. I did not mean to imply otherwise. [He mulls it over for a long moment.]

Perhaps there is a switch on the other side? A one way entryway. Of course... You would then have to wonder how this Phantom is able to escape back through. Unless he is simply just timing it all expertly.

[This time Ariel inches forward to meet Angus's blow, bracing himself for the impact. It still stings, and he can feel the skin start to wear in a few places. He'll blister for sure if he continues.]

[At least this is all relatively familiar to Ariel. He might not have an electric stove in his land, but he's watched the process of baking bread at least once.]

I am excellent at measuring things, if I may say so. [He holds his hands out for a measuring cup.] In my profession -- Alchemy -- It was crucial to measure things to be just so.

[Jeremy's here with laundry too! Wow, laundry!]

Oh, Riley! What, uh. What've you got there?

Like it's backwards, or? [He lifts the hat again, turning it so it's the opposite way it was before.] Better? Worse?

[Worse. It's just a bad hat, Jeremy.]

[Oh, see! He knew she'd know what he was talking about.]

You're, um. You're welcome. [He smiles and it only looks kind of forced.] It's - you're so, um. Creative? And stuff? So you, um. I believe in you.
