WEEK 1

[With the introduction of their showrunner and a brief run through of what they're in for in their time in the Opera House out of the way, the performers are free to explore the first floor of the opera house at their leisure then and for the rest of the week that lies ahead. The double doors leading to the kitchen will be unlocked at 7 am and locked at 10 pm for intermission. Performers are free to prepare meals for themselves and others at any time outside of intermission.

The Merchandise Booth will also be open for business after the first day as some of the performers may find envelopes with their names on it taped to their doors in the morning.

If performers wish to have private conversations with their showrunner, The Balladeer, just step up to the box office and see if he's in.

Well, I bet that's awkward. Does she at least remember that you exist?

[Anna jumps badly enough that she grabs onto a rack, barely keeping herself upright. She laughs nervously and hides her lower half behind a dress hanging there.]

H-Hans! I didn't see you there!

[Is that jacket... for her?]

[Hime quickly looks down at her overcooked rice and picks at it.]

Sorry! I just thought. ...Nobody's found anything, have they?

[trettende]

Oh, she remembers us meeting, sure. But the first impression I made was... not the best.

[ He really thought the 'running into her with his horse' bit went better than she did, apparently. ]

[ Hans brings his hands up-- he's only holding a jacket, princess. ]

I'm sorry if I startled you. I just thought, maybe this-- [ re: jacket ] --would go well with that outfit you have. Don't you think?

Maybe they don't have big bags here?

[Anna takes the box and reads the directions.]

Can we make it?

That sounds like a story.

[Judging by his expression, at least.]

So is she freaked out, or does she think you're lying about the whole engagement thing, or what?

We have all the things for it. [Deep breath.] Of course we can! Let's try right now, it can't be that hard!

It was kind of a fated encounter, but maybe she didn't think so...

[ All he needed was a musical number to win her over, right...? ]

I didn't want to push, she got upset when I tried to explain.

[Anna hesitates before stepping out from behind her hiding spot, heading over to Hans.]

It's lovely. [She takes it and checks it over with a small smile.] Thank you.

Right! So what do we start with? A pot? [She can get one for them!]

It says put rice, water, and butter in a saucepan. What kind of pot is that? Probably a little one.

Are you-- are you just taking those?

[ Far be it for Hans to rain on his parade, he just-- I mean I guess it's technically not stealing when it's from the people who kidnapped them, but. He's a little concerned? Maybe someone else wanted candles!! ]

[sunshineprincess]

Uhm... [She opens a cupboard and pulls two out. They both are small, but one is flatter.] Which one?

[trettende]

[ Ah yes, the other piano. The music is touching-- why, even Hans' heart is almost moved. He steps around the ballroom and approaches as Winslow finishes his song. Hans, for his part, claps when he's finished. ]

Is that your own arrangement? I've never heard anything quite like it before.

[trettende]

[ See? No need to hide, Anna. It's just your fiancee, Hans! ]

Well, I know a thing or two about coats and pants, so I thought I'd lend a hand.

[ Since, y'know, they're mens' clothes! ]

[dieformymusic]

[It's like a vacation from sanity too.

He scrawls again. "I'd like to be. I want to get signed on to a big record label."]

[She just needs piano lessons!

"I just haven't found my shot yet."]

[Still hesitant, Anna puts on the jacket, moving her arms in small circles once it's on.]

The arms are a stiffer than I thought. Nothing like a dress!

[Oh. The fiance thing. How does she... bring that up?]

[To be fair, he's very much in the seventies.

"It's the story of a man who sells his soul to the devil for knowledge and love."]

[He nods fervently.

"May lift their spirits when they need it."]

[dieformymusic]

[Winslow, no matter the audience always finds himself pleased by the attention he recieves for his music.

"Just something I composed now. Thank you."]

[One hand remains wrapped around her spoon - she's eating cereal, something impressively simple - while the other covers whatever scribblings are on the clipboard.]

I- it's alright, you don't have to bother yourself with worrying. [Smile.]

"Only some matches. Not sure if we can burn our way out."]
