WEEK 3

[The past weekend has been a difficult one. With Valjean's murder and D-ne's brutal execution the monotony has been broken and it can be said the show is finally and truly underway.

When the performers emerge from their rooms on Monday morning the decor of the opera house has changed. Not drastically but someone was busy during the night with some redecorating. There are cobwebs draped over nearly everything, some of them with tiny plastic spiders stuck in the cotton webbing, and pumpkins of various sizes on the floor and on the tables. Some of the walls have been adorned with cartoon-ish paper skeletons and scarecrows and in the ballroom a poseable plastic skeleton has been posed at the piano looking ready to play. Someone's even set a bowl of candy on the counter of the merch booth.

But that's not all. There's a light coming from the now open doorway in the lobby that had been previously locked for the past two weeks. This new floor is similarly decorated but why not go have a look and explore for yourself?

Despite their losses, the show must go on after all.

[Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday]
allicareabout: (TILT Δ okay but that's really dumb)

Should be over here somewhere, come on.

[He'll actually get up, if for no better reason than god, he needs something to do with himself right now. Also, it's better to demonstrate these sorts of things than risk her running into the Absolute Trash that most of this section he's been hanging out in consists of.]

Are you just really into history, or was there not much else for you to do?
sunshineprincess: (♠ Oh oh oh)

[personal profile] sunshineprincess 2016-11-01 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[She would greatly appreciate that.]

Not much else. I had tutors, and learning history was important, but I didn't actually pay attention to a lot of it. It's really as boring as geography.
allicareabout: (EHHH Δ it's not going to pay for itself)

[personal profile] allicareabout 2016-11-01 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I don't blame you - it's all dates and memorization where I'm from, the sort of thing that'll put a guy to sleep in seconds if you don't have the taste for it, and I definitely didn't.
sunshineprincess: (• 'Cause for the first time)

[personal profile] sunshineprincess 2016-11-01 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't mind it when I was younger, because it was important... but then it got really boring. Same facts over and over again just with different people.
allicareabout: (TILT Δ okay but that's really dumb)

[personal profile] allicareabout 2016-11-01 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, you know what they say about history repeating itself - it's probably more important for royalty to know about all that, I'd think.
sunshineprincess: (♥ 'Cause your future's)

[personal profile] sunshineprincess 2016-11-01 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I know. I just don't get why I have to. I'm never going to be queen unless Elsa steps down or I marry some prince with the claim to a throne.
allicareabout: (EHHH Δ it's not going to pay for itself)

[personal profile] allicareabout 2016-11-01 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
...Well, you never know. Sometimes things happen.

[and apparently later we find out that Things Very Much Tried To Happen but you know what, for now the statement stands as a hypothetical.]
sunshineprincess: (• Am I so ready for this change)

[personal profile] sunshineprincess 2016-11-01 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[She doesn't really want to think about that...]

.. so, romance novels!
allicareabout: (INFORM Δ look if jesus christ had $5000)

[personal profile] allicareabout 2016-11-01 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
...Romance novels.

[a w k w a r d]

What is it about romance that interests you, really - is it the whole triumph over adversity thing, just the concept in general, something else...
sunshineprincess: (♥ 'Cause your future's)

[personal profile] sunshineprincess 2016-11-02 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[That's a good question.]

I think I want one where the woman is in charge. Where she doesn't have to be saved. So triumphing?
