WEEK 3
[The past weekend has been a difficult one. With Valjean's murder and D-ne's brutal execution the monotony has been broken and it can be said the show is finally and truly underway.

When the performers emerge from their rooms on Monday morning the decor of the opera house has changed. Not drastically but someone was busy during the night with some redecorating. There are cobwebs draped over nearly everything, some of them with tiny plastic spiders stuck in the cotton webbing, and pumpkins of various sizes on the floor and on the tables. Some of the walls have been adorned with cartoon-ish paper skeletons and scarecrows and in the ballroom a poseable plastic skeleton has been posed at the piano looking ready to play. Someone's even set a bowl of candy on the counter of the merch booth.

But that's not all. There's a light coming from the now open doorway in the lobby that had been previously locked for the past two weeks. This new floor is similarly decorated but why not go have a look and explore for yourself?

Despite their losses, the show must go on after all.

I just don't know how they know all that stuff.

That's a good question. They know our secrets, wrote those strange pamphlets... I wish I knew where they got their information.

[ It would be so useful... ]

Maybe they've been stalking us.

[trettende]

All of us though? Through time and space?

I just can't imagine how they could get so much power.

[rockthistown]

That's what I'm scared of, too, but they already have us...

[trettende]

Yes, you're right about that.

[ Kind of a grim thought for someone so young, Hans has to admit. ]

It's hard to imagine how they could know all these things, and do all this... Even magic doesn't seem like enough.

[rockthistown]

It would have to be really strong magic, but I'm not sure. I wish they'd just explain things!

[trettende]

You probably know more about magic than I do, so I'll bet that's true.

I don't think even the Balladeer knows how they do it all.

[rockthistown]

He said they gave him some information on us, but he didn't understand it all. I think. I was maybe kind of panicking at the time sorry.

[trettende]

Oh, you've been to speak with him too?

It's alright, when was this?

[rockthistown]

After we got that first motive. I was, um, worried about what it meant.

[trettende]

Oh, I see. That motive... you knew something about wishes, huh?

[rockthistown]

[She awkwardly nods.] Like I said at the meeting, you can earn one with a fairy who hasn't granted a wish before and a full set of PreCards. So I thought he kidnapped some poor fairy, but he had no idea what I was talking about.

[trettende]

Do you know of any other way to grant wishes? Like say, wishing on a star?

[rockthistown]

I've... never heard of it actually working? There was something in the Palmier Kingdom that could do it, but that's all used up.

[trettende]

I've heard stories, but never seen it myself... Is it possible, though? If it hadn't been used up. These people seem capable of traveling through time, after all.

[rockthistown]

You mean they'd change the past just for that? I guess, but... I'm just thinking of what they'd have easier access to.

[trettende]

Who knows with these people...
