WEEK 3
[The past weekend has been a difficult one. With Valjean's murder and D-ne's brutal execution the monotony has been broken and it can be said the show is finally and truly underway.

When the performers emerge from their rooms on Monday morning the decor of the opera house has changed. Not drastically but someone was busy during the night with some redecorating. There are cobwebs draped over nearly everything, some of them with tiny plastic spiders stuck in the cotton webbing, and pumpkins of various sizes on the floor and on the tables. Some of the walls have been adorned with cartoon-ish paper skeletons and scarecrows and in the ballroom a poseable plastic skeleton has been posed at the piano looking ready to play. Someone's even set a bowl of candy on the counter of the merch booth.

But that's not all. There's a light coming from the now open doorway in the lobby that had been previously locked for the past two weeks. This new floor is similarly decorated but why not go have a look and explore for yourself?

Despite their losses, the show must go on after all.

You don't have Halloween where you're from?

[ Surely this tiny child is the nicest kid in the Opera. ]

Well, we celebrate our ancestors and that sort of thing, but I lived in a castle. At most we had a ball, not... string up skeletons and decorate with fake spiderwebs.

[Outside of this place, how many kids do you know, sir?]

Oh. Well, we have some pretty ace parties and things but it's more about scary monsters and pranks. We don't go out on Halloween though because it gets awful rowdy.

[ Probably less than a handful.... then again, every one of his brother's kids is closer to inheriting the throne than he is. ]

I see... so that's where the whole "Trick or Treat" thing comes into play, right? Do people spend all day tricking each other?

[Oh, well then she's got a pretty good pool for comparison. Nice!]

Sometimes, if there isn't anything else to do.

It didn't use to be so bad but I heard they had a real problem with people getting hurt while making pranks.

I can imagine. I'm glad it hasn't picked up much here, the last thing we need is people pranking each other.

Yeah, I think we have enough problems with people gettin hurt here.
