WEEK 3
[The past weekend has been a difficult one. With Valjean's murder and D-ne's brutal execution the monotony has been broken and it can be said the show is finally and truly underway.

When the performers emerge from their rooms on Monday morning the decor of the opera house has changed. Not drastically but someone was busy during the night with some redecorating. There are cobwebs draped over nearly everything, some of them with tiny plastic spiders stuck in the cotton webbing, and pumpkins of various sizes on the floor and on the tables. Some of the walls have been adorned with cartoon-ish paper skeletons and scarecrows and in the ballroom a poseable plastic skeleton has been posed at the piano looking ready to play. Someone's even set a bowl of candy on the counter of the merch booth.

But that's not all. There's a light coming from the now open doorway in the lobby that had been previously locked for the past two weeks. This new floor is similarly decorated but why not go have a look and explore for yourself?

Despite their losses, the show must go on after all.

[Sometime during the afternoon, Natalie can be found in the Costume Shop, idly sorting through the clothes. She hasn't been thinking much about the memory she received this week - she's been too preoccupied with exploring the new level. Then came the racing thoughts about the motive, about what she can do to stop someone from getting killed again this week, if anything. She still doesn't know if she's doing enough.

While looking through the clothes, though, her hand brushes past a dress - silk, tea length, dark blue. It isn't the same one she remembers, but the similarity gives her pause all the same. She pulls it out to look at it for a moment, a rare smile coming across her face as she hums a few bars of a tune.

As soon as she realizes she isn't alone, though, she fumbles to put the dress back on the rack, clearly a bit embarrassed to be seen in that moment of tenderness.]

Didn't see you there! Wow. Hi there.

[littlegirl_littlecurl]

[She’s not really surprised and just shrugs.]

Yeah, well. I'm short.

[Darla does come a little closer, eyeing the dress.]

You should take it if you like it.

[robitussin]

I don't like it. I'm not a big dress person.

[Very convincing.]

It just reminded me of something.

[littlegirl_littlecurl]

[Yeah that sure has her convinced. Yep.]

Oh? One of those 'special occasion' dressy types? Reminded of a party?

[robitussin]

Yeah, just a dance. It's no big deal.

[Shaking her head and moving away from the clothes.]

Were you here to look at something?

[littlegirl_littlecurl]

Hmm...
[She'll let it slide. But she knows you want the dress~]

I get clothes here. I can't wash any so I just come and grab things if the clothes I have are dirty or smell funny.

[robitussin]

...Can't you just ask someone to show you how to use the washing machine?

[littlegirl_littlecurl]

I could.

[That's it. That's her response.]

[robitussin]

[It earns a laugh.]

Well, at least you're honest, I guess.

[littlegirl_littlecurl]

[She lifts one shoulder in a shrug and starts rummaging in a nearby rack.]

I figure that if I can make whoever has to clean up after us wash all of 'em, it's worth havin' to get more clothes all the time, even if I don't like how it looks.

[bestof]

I'm sorry, Natalie, I hope I didn't startle you. [She's just here to find some socks but what were you looking at, Natalie?] Did you see something you liked?

[robitussin]

Oh, no. I mean, you didn't startle me, and it's... Just a dress. Not a big deal, just reminded me of something.

[Extremely convincing. She finishes putting it back on the hanger, setting the hanger on the rack.]

Um, hi.
