WEEK 3
[The past weekend has been a difficult one. With Valjean's murder and D-ne's brutal execution the monotony has been broken and it can be said the show is finally and truly underway.

When the performers emerge from their rooms on Monday morning the decor of the opera house has changed. Not drastically but someone was busy during the night with some redecorating. There are cobwebs draped over nearly everything, some of them with tiny plastic spiders stuck in the cotton webbing, and pumpkins of various sizes on the floor and on the tables. Some of the walls have been adorned with cartoon-ish paper skeletons and scarecrows and in the ballroom a poseable plastic skeleton has been posed at the piano looking ready to play. Someone's even set a bowl of candy on the counter of the merch booth.

But that's not all. There's a light coming from the now open doorway in the lobby that had been previously locked for the past two weeks. This new floor is similarly decorated but why not go have a look and explore for yourself?

Despite their losses, the show must go on after all.

That's one of those things you get when you don't graduate high school, right?

[He might have only heard of it in passing before.]

Yeah. It's like a diploma, only you don't have to go back to finish it.

Huh, I guess it can't hurt to get it. Do I need to take any classes?

[robitussin]

I don't really know. I was going to graduate, so I never looked into it.

[dontfeedplants]

Oh, well congratulations then.

[Is that something he should say? Since she kind of can't graduate right now.]

[Likewise, she looks like she doesn't know how to respond to that.]

I mean it. [Although he realizes that the issue was not him meaning it. He's trying to save this conversation dang it.] You seem like a really smart person, after all.

[She is equally bad at taking compliments, so. Subject change!]

If you did go, what would you want to study? Something with plants, right?

[dontfeedplants]

Probably. It might be nice to become an actual botanist but I wouldn't mind just owning my own flower shop. Preferably in a nice area.

[robitussin]

Yeah? Where would you go if you had a choice?

[dontfeedplants]

I never thought about it. I never really considered college an option back home so I only know about a couple of colleges.

[All of them way out of his range.]

[robitussin]

I can't believe it's me of all people saying this, but maybe you need to be more optimistic.

[That awkward moment when a lifelong cynic tells you this.]

[dontfeedplants]

I'm not trying to be cynical. It's just sometimes hard to stay hopeful when you haven't had a lot of good things happen in your life.

[Also the kidnapping and murder thing really isn't helping matters.]

Still, if Audrey II makes us enough money, I might be able to seriously think of going to college.

...Who is Audrey II?

Oh, it's this plant I found just before arriving here. [Or technically a while before arriving here. Yeesh he's having trouble with this lost memory thing.] I don't know how well it's doing now, but from what I remember we got a lot of customers when we put it on display.

[robitussin]

Huh. Must be a pretty unique looking plant.

[dontfeedplants]

It's the only one of it's kind for all I know! I think it might be some strange plant mutation.

[robitussin]

What does it look like?

[dontfeedplants]

I think there's a picture of it in here.

[He flips through his playbill until he reaches His profile and shows it to Natalie.]

[robitussin]

[She glances at the picture, handing it back afterwards.]

I guess that is pretty weird. Was someone willing to pay a lot for it?

[dontfeedplants]

... Actually, the weird thing is, no one wanted to buy it, but the plant drew in a lot of people since so many people just wanted to get a look at it.

[robitussin]

That... seems really weird, but sure, I'll go with it.
