WEEK 3
[The past weekend has been a difficult one. With Valjean's murder and D-ne's brutal execution the monotony has been broken and it can be said the show is finally and truly underway.

When the performers emerge from their rooms on Monday morning the decor of the opera house has changed. Not drastically but someone was busy during the night with some redecorating. There are cobwebs draped over nearly everything, some of them with tiny plastic spiders stuck in the cotton webbing, and pumpkins of various sizes on the floor and on the tables. Some of the walls have been adorned with cartoon-ish paper skeletons and scarecrows and in the ballroom a poseable plastic skeleton has been posed at the piano looking ready to play. Someone's even set a bowl of candy on the counter of the merch booth.

But that's not all. There's a light coming from the now open doorway in the lobby that had been previously locked for the past two weeks. This new floor is similarly decorated but why not go have a look and explore for yourself?

Despite their losses, the show must go on after all.

She is... and I'd like to know that too. It wasn't like this at all when I came here. She was standing right next to me, and we were talking about chocolate and how nice it was to have a party.

...Man. I get that we're all missing memories, but that's extra messed up.

I think that's how Hans knew about things I don't remember telling him. If they can pull people from the future and the past, why not take him from my future?

So... Do you think he was telling the truth about you guys being engaged? Man, that must be weird.

Maybe... but that doesn't mean I want to be engaged to him. I barely know him! I'd at least want to get to know someone better before marrying them.

[And, you know, Billy.]

Yeah... Man, I can't even imagine that. That must be so weird.

[She's been here a while. Something tells her that getting engaged to someone after a day might actually be really, really weird.]

Don't get me wrong, he's a very nice guy, but I'm glad he's not pressing that we get married. I'm more worried about getting out of here right now.

I don't think anyone would be enough of a dick to push the whole marriage thing we're stuck in a literal horror movie.

Horror movie? [What is a movie?]

Yeah. Oh, it's like - a form of entertainment that hinges around the characters being in danger in some way for most of the film.

I see... you think we have a way to watch some?

...Maybe, yeah. I saw a movie theater here. You wanna check it out? I didn't check out what movies they have, but maybe there's a few scary ones.

[Oh my gosh. Are they doing friend things???]

Sure! I wanna see a movie.

[She hasn't thought about it in those terms yet or she would probably find an excuse to bail, because she's great at this.]

Cool. Theater's this way.

[She gestures and begins to walk.]

[Don't worry, she won't say the f-word until Natalie says it first. No D-ne repeat. She's also going to not bounce as she follows. Nope. Nosiree.]

[She looks down to see what movies are there when they get to the theater.]

Not seeing any scary ones. You wanna pick instead?

[She's not sure what to pick.]

Hmmm... What's the Music Man about?

I don't think I've heard of that one, but I'm going to guess it's about a man who plays music.

[Deadpan 2: Electric Boogaloo.]

[... hmm... how about... South Pacific.]

Is this one any good?

I'm going to make an educated guess that I haven't seen any of these, so let's just check one out and see.

[She nods and... is not sure what to do with this box now. So she opens it and frowns at the contents.]

A circle made of plastic?

No, it's - there's, like, data stored on the... Actually, I don't know how to explain it. Let's just pop it in.

[She holds her hand out for it.]

[Future stuff. She hands it over and wait eagerly.]

[She takes it and puts it in, glancing up at the screen to make sure it's starting correctly as it begins to play.]

There we go.

[Wow... the pictures are moving. Excuse her while she stares at the start screen.]
