WEEK 3
[The past weekend has been a difficult one. With Valjean's murder and D-ne's brutal execution the monotony has been broken and it can be said the show is finally and truly underway.

When the performers emerge from their rooms on Monday morning the decor of the opera house has changed. Not drastically but someone was busy during the night with some redecorating. There are cobwebs draped over nearly everything, some of them with tiny plastic spiders stuck in the cotton webbing, and pumpkins of various sizes on the floor and on the tables. Some of the walls have been adorned with cartoon-ish paper skeletons and scarecrows and in the ballroom a poseable plastic skeleton has been posed at the piano looking ready to play. Someone's even set a bowl of candy on the counter of the merch booth.

But that's not all. There's a light coming from the now open doorway in the lobby that had been previously locked for the past two weeks. This new floor is similarly decorated but why not go have a look and explore for yourself?

Despite their losses, the show must go on after all.

[Of course Eliza would magnetize straight to the chapel but what she's not expecting is anyone else to be there, especially not a princess who has clearly been crying. She's seen her own face in the mirror enough times this weekend to know exactly what that looks like.]

Did I interrupt something, Princess Anna?

[Anna shakes her head.]

Not at all! I was just exploring. And please, you can just call me Anna.

[bestof]

[See this face, Anna? This is the face of someone not believing you.]

Mmhmm. Did you find anything interesting up here, Anna?

[sunshineprincess]

[Hehehe... She shakes her head again.]

It's just a chapel. I would bring Valjean's candlesticks here, but I don't know if I'm even allowed to touch them.

[bestof]

If no one else does, I might do it. [She looks around the chapel, a small, sad smile on her face.] He would have enjoyed this, I think.

[sunshineprincess]

[She nods, touching the back of one of the pews.]

I can imagine him singing hymns in here.

[bestof]

Mmhm. I think I will, in their memory. [Because she's absolutely including D-ne in any prayers.]

There are a few I used to sing to my son when he was a baby, I might pick those.

[WAIT

HOLD UP

NOW SHE LOOKS HORRIFIED]

You're a mother?! AND THEY STILL BROUGHT YOU HERE?! [Yes. She's shouting.]

I am. [If she seems weirdly calm about this it's because she already had one sobfest in her room when she woke up this morning. Better to keep it together in front of everyone else.] Last night I had a dream but when I woke up it was more like a memory. [She smiles but quickly ends up needing to wipe her eyes with the back of her hand.] I have a son and a daughter, Philip and Angie.

[sunshineprincess]

[It might not be proper, Eliza, but Anna is going to hug you tightly.] I'm so sorry... I hope Philip and Angie are okay...

[bestof]

[Eliza doesn't hesitate to return the hug, embracing Anna just as tightly. She sniffs a few times but forces herself to smile.]

They have their father so at least there's that. Alexander is a wonderful father, he'll take wonderful care of them if I- [She stops herself. No, no worst case scenarios.] Until I'm able to return to them. [She sniffs one more time before pulling herself away to arms length from Anna, hands on her shoulders.]

I apologize, Anna, I came in here to make sure you were alright and here I am about to cry on your shoulder.

[Anna shakes her head, giving Eliza a soft smile.]

I'll be fine. I know I'll get to go home eventually, so I just have to focus on that...no matter how bad my memory is.
