WEEK 3
[The past weekend has been a difficult one. With Valjean's murder and D-ne's brutal execution the monotony has been broken and it can be said the show is finally and truly underway.

When the performers emerge from their rooms on Monday morning the decor of the opera house has changed. Not drastically but someone was busy during the night with some redecorating. There are cobwebs draped over nearly everything, some of them with tiny plastic spiders stuck in the cotton webbing, and pumpkins of various sizes on the floor and on the tables. Some of the walls have been adorned with cartoon-ish paper skeletons and scarecrows and in the ballroom a poseable plastic skeleton has been posed at the piano looking ready to play. Someone's even set a bowl of candy on the counter of the merch booth.

But that's not all. There's a light coming from the now open doorway in the lobby that had been previously locked for the past two weeks. This new floor is similarly decorated but why not go have a look and explore for yourself?

Despite their losses, the show must go on after all.

[The question shakes Raoul from his reverie, and he looks over to Hime.]

I...did. And you, too, had a dream that felt real?

[rockthistown]

[nods] It was like I hadn't been taken here. My friends and I made it to Harmonia for the celebration after all.

[dechagny]

[Yeah he...doesn't know anything about that. But she wouldn't know anything about his own situation, so.]

It was similar for me - as if I had never awoken here. I went backstage to see a friend for the first time in many, many years.

[rockthistown]

That sounds really nice! What happened?

[dechagny]

[He smiles just remembering it.] We talked of old times together...all of our little adventures. And I invited her to dinner...

[Here, his smile falters.] But she...was hesitant. I told her I would be back in a moment, for I had to retrieve my hat, but when I returned she was nowhere to be found. Sadly, that is all I remember.

[rockthistown]

That's so sad! There's no way that she just ditched you. You were friends for all that time! It has to be one of those complicated things, like off romance books.

[dechagny]

...I am afraid I have not read a great deal of romance books to know what sort of complicated thing it might be.

[rockthistown]

I don't know, you have a secret twin she thought was you? Or maybe she was called by a big family emergency!

[dechagny]

I have an elder brother and elder sisters, but none so alike to me as to be mistaken for me. As for her family, she...

[Eugh this is hard, he did like and respect Monsieur Daae.]

...She had only her father, and he has since passed.

[rockthistown]

Oh... W-well, I don't know everything! But I'm sure your friend wouldn't just ditch you like that. If Miyuki were here, she'd say we just need to set things right!

[dechagny]

I...hope you are right.

[He's not sure what might have changed. But it has been many years - there may be things about Christine he simply does not know.]

Who might Miyuki be?

[rockthistown]

My friend! She lives in another town, though. With a library as huge as the one in here! And my best friend, Megumi, she'd get into that, too. She likes helping people all day long, even when we have other things to do.

[dechagny]

Oh - well, helping others is not a bad trait to have.

[rockthistown]

I guess it's not. I was always scared of approaching them in the first place, but Megumi kept pulling me along.

[dechagny]

Really? I would never have pegged you for a particularly shy person, Miss Hime.

[rockthistown]

Really? But even now, people are scary!

[dechagny]

You still find the strength to interact with others, though! We have had many chats over these weeks.

[Chats and adventures and that hideous arm thing.]

[rockthistown]

I guess so. It's because most of you are so nice.

[dechagny]

Well, I would rather be a kind man than a cruel one, in this kind of situation.

[There are ladies who need protecting, after all, and you can't do that if you're a jackass.]

[rockthistown]

Thank you. I promised Anna I'd keep you all safe, so if you ever see anyone in trouble, you can come to me! That goes for everyone!

[dechagny]

[HIME]

...The same can be said for me. If there is trouble, you come and you find me, Hime, if you can. Alright?

[rockthistown]

[Look, normal people don't make a fake Heather out of a dummy and a wooden cow and call her over to a death trap! It's not a common scenario!]

If I need help, I'll call you. Okay? But don't worry! I'm not going to run away like I used to.

[dechagny]

[STILL]

I won't worry. If you are determined to help others, then you have the strength to overcome any obstacle.

[rockthistown]

...Right. That's what someone back home would do, too.
