Week Five

[Last week, you had your very first minor body pileup! Granted, the Balladeer's death was entirely unrelated to anything, but at least he died as he lived - getting completely fucked up in some kind of carnival-themed hellscape. Only two days later, another terrible accident took Rina and Varian both from you. It's just been one of those weeks, huh? At least you got to add both of their corpses to your weird growing collection!

Again, you'll wake up this morning with another new snippet of memory. You'll also find that the stairs in the lobby are no longer blocked. You can only access one part of the second floor, but it seems like there's some neat stuff up there!

Outside, a few things seem to have changed. For one, the weather has turned - it'll be overcast this week, with periodic rain and even scattered thunderstorms. For another, the bushes around that rock out by the football field have bloomed. That's nice.

[Salieri wrinkles his nose at that, turning on his stomach to pillow his turned head on his arms, watching her]

That sounds ridiculous. And like the spring introductory at Court.

Super fuckin ridicallous. [She giggles again, flipping one of her newly Peregrine-braided braids back.]

Don’t tell. Everyone will—- and should make fun of me for that.

[he smirks at that, widely]

I won't tell a soul. And I'm very good at keeping secrets. [he winks, all mischievous]

I’m not. [She says it. So dismayed that it might actually be a little sad if it weren’t for it immediately being followed up with—-]

[alskdhfs he can't help but laugh at that]

Even though you're not good at keeping secrets? [teasing]

I’ll keep this one! Pleeeeeeease! [She’s officially puppy-dog eyesing him.]

[he huffs out a sigh, then, but...motions here a little closer]

Alright, come closer, I'll tell you. I can't--I can't say it too loudly--[he shifts, looking around briefly, as if looking for someone, but then a bit relieved to not see them, before turning his attention back to Farrah]

[Farrah wiggles closer, and closer, and when she stops, if he doesn’t move away, their noses will be almost touching.

She looks at him expectantly.]

[There's a curl to Salieri's mouth, and he lowers his voice, so only she can hear]

I...think I'm in love with Discord. [there may or may not be red blooming in the tips of his ears and his cheeks] Actually, really in love with him.

[Farrah watches as his face flushes, quiet for a moment as she processes what he’s just said.

Then, she shrieks with delight, sorry to his ears, and tackles Salieri with a hug.]

I’m so happy—-

[lakshdfs OW HIS EARS but also he's laughing as she tackles him, trying to gather her up]

Shhh-shhh-don't--he'll hear you! [he's laughing, giggling almost even as he tries to shush her]

[Farrah’s still all giggles, patting his flushed cheek, giving him a quick squeeze, before sitting back down into her own place on the floor.]

It’s okay, if he does, we’ll just tell him about the pageants— [She’s practically glowing, as if she’s the one in love. She’s so happy to hear it, though.]

I’m so happy for you. I knew it.

[He'll sit up a bit, too, still a bit red, still a bit embarrassed but...happy.]

You and Spongebob. Smarter than I could even imagine.

Well. It's easier for other people to see, than... you know. Yourself. [Does she sound a little sad? Maybe. Maybe she's just high.]

[no, no, he'll definitely pick up on that. And he's flashing back to that meeting, and the shipping chart she made...and he reaches out to set a hand on her knee, comforting]

...speaking from experience?

Orrrr lack of experience. [She shrugs, trying to sound cool about it.]

I died before I even got kissed. Like. Come on.

Well. You're alive now. [he reaches out to gently tug on a bit of her hair, affectionately]

...though it's true that sometimes we don't notice these things until after such feelings have long been inside us.
