itscurtains | Week Five

[Last week, you had your very first minor body pileup! Granted, the Balladeer's death was entirely unrelated to anything, but at least he died as he lived - getting completely fucked up in some kind of carnival-themed hellscape. Only two days later, another terrible accident took Rina and Varian both from you. It's just been one of those weeks, huh? At least you got to add both of their corpses to your weird growing collection!

Again, you'll wake up this morning with another new snippet of memory. You'll also find that the stairs in the lobby are no longer blocked. You can only access one part of the second floor, but it seems like there's some neat stuff up there!

Outside, a few things seem to have changed. For one, the weather has turned - it'll be overcast this week, with periodic rain and even scattered thunderstorms. For another, the bushes around that rock out by the football field have bloomed. That's nice.

[She boops Peregrine's nose. Guess that's just her thing now.]

[ Oh! Peregrine lights up. ]

You... [ She reaches up to try and grab Maya's finger. ]

Me? [She busts into a series of giggles.]

[ A cheeky, almost childish grin breaks across her face. ]

Yeah. Yeah, you. [ Dare she—? Peregrine leans forward and kisses Maya on the nose. ]

[Oh. Maya's cheeks go a bright pink.]

You know -- If I were cheekier, I could have done something very sly there, Peregrine.

Cheekier? [ She has. No earthly idea what Maya is talking about, genuinely. ]

Do it again. I'll show you.

[ It's almost a dare... Peregrine hesitates for a moment before doing so. ]

[Honestly Maya is. A little surprised that she went for it. But you know what, she's not one to back out of gay chicken so --

She tilts her lips up to meet Peregrine's.]

[ You can't stop Peregrine Wells. Maybe that's something she's been forgetting lately. Something that, right now, isn't fogged up by her failures or her reckless decisions or the people she's lost.

So, though she's surprised, a soft but sharp gasp hissing out of her, Peregrine kisses Maya back. ]

[Another score of Tendo Maya. Not that she thinks about any of that. Right now, she's trying to keep her lips gentle against Peregrine's. Somewhere, she recalls a confession that Per thought she was straight before coming here. And while she isn't sure if Janis beat her to the punch or not, she's sure as hell going to try and make this the best first kiss between gal pals that she's ever managed.]

[ It's...really funny, because after she pulls away, slowly, shyly, she reveals it's more than just that, it's— ]

That...was my first kiss.

[Maya has taken a fair few first kisses from people but... This sure does feel special.]

[Oh, there she goes. She collapses but -- clearly she's fine. She can't stop giggling so yeah, that's probably fine.]

[ Peregrine hovers over her in concern! ]

[Maya reaches up and. Pulls her down. Cuddle time.]

Oof— [ Down she goes. She has zero grace right now. She appears utterly captivated, however, with just staring at Maya. Running a hand through her hair. It feels like electricity runs over her fingers, like every sensation is heightened. ] You too.
