Week Five

[Last week, you had your very first minor body pileup! Granted, the Balladeer's death was entirely unrelated to anything, but at least he died as he lived - getting completely fucked up in some kind of carnival-themed hellscape. Only two days later, another terrible accident took Rina and Varian both from you. It's just been one of those weeks, huh? At least you got to add both of their corpses to your weird growing collection!

Again, you'll wake up this morning with another new snippet of memory. You'll also find that the stairs in the lobby are no longer blocked. You can only access one part of the second floor, but it seems like there's some neat stuff up there!

Outside, a few things seem to have changed. For one, the weather has turned - it'll be overcast this week, with periodic rain and even scattered thunderstorms. For another, the bushes around that rock out by the football field have bloomed. That's nice.

[Campout aside, LSP's definitely been keeping to herself for this week. Unless anyone's actively tracked her down, she's been pretty absent.]

[But apparently the siren's call of the photo studio was finally too much. She's hauled a large number of costumes up there and, frankly. She's working it for the camera. If she's discovered or interrupted-]

Oh, good, you're here. Adjust that light a little, the camera's on a timer and I can't get to it. Thanks.

[Later on in the Foreign Language Club- she's there. Trying different foods, flipping through a few of the books mostly disinterestedly. And giving a slightly wide berth to one platter that contains what appears to be a selection of overly sweet candy and baked goods but also what brief inspection will reveal to be actual lumps of coal, a pile of unpeeled hardboiled eggs, and a small pile of entire raw fish on ice.]

[...She's at least made an effort to kind of. Shove the fish out of sight behind the coal and eggs.]

[And during and after the club meeting, once she realizes what's happened-]

[ Peregrine's stretching her legs from her uh, project today. She hears someone poking around in the photo studio, and just means to peek in, but— ]

Uhh. Adjust it how, you want it more on your face, off...?

Yeah, on me. Try to get it kind of artsy-looking.

[ Well, Peregrine does so easily, adjusting the light pretty well, like she's done this before or something! ]

There you go.

[sugarlumps]

You are an angel and amazing, you know that right.

[She briefly strikes what is meant to be a slightly more dramatic pose as the camera goes off.]

OOh! We should, like, do one of these for you.

[comeandfindme]

[ She flashes a very brief smile. ]

Oh, no, I like...taking pictures more than being in them. Besides, I've... There's something I have to do today.

[Cassandra... shouldn't have come in here, should she? She just wanted to wander around after the meeting, maybe attempt to get the laundry machines working.

Now, she's staring in utter befuddlement at the camera setup.]

["Adjust the light" she says.




Let's turn the lights in the room off.]

NOOOO-!

[LSP is scrabbling to get into a position to get at the light switch. She. trips over something. The camera's flash goes off, it's even more blinding than usual.]

[...That's gonna be one heck of a photo.]

Ahhh!

[The flash is blinding, but it ends just as quickly as it starts. Black splotches dance in her vision, obscuring the mess. And... ohhh what a mess it is.]

Oh... That's probably not what you wanted, was it?

[She says to LSP, face down on the floor.]
