itscurtains | Week Five

[Last week, you had your very first minor body pileup! Granted, the Balladeer's death was entirely unrelated to anything, but at least he died as he lived - getting completely fucked up in some kind of carnival-themed hellscape. Only two days later, another terrible accident took Rina and Varian both from you. It's just been one of those weeks, huh? At least you got to add both of their corpses to your weird growing collection!

Again, you'll wake up this morning with another new snippet of memory. You'll also find that the stairs in the lobby are no longer blocked. You can only access one part of the second floor, but it seems like there's some neat stuff up there!

Outside, a few things seem to have changed. For one, the weather has turned - it'll be overcast this week, with periodic rain and even scattered thunderstorms. For another, the bushes around that rock out by the football field have bloomed. That's nice.

[Hi, Elsa. Maya is refusing to cross the threshold of the library. She is, however, waving frantically for Elsa's attention. Or as frantic as Maya gets. Which isn't exactly exaggerated but... definitely more excited.

When she does get Elsa's attention, she points to the circular cake.]

Please. Can you bring that to me?

[Well. Maya certainly can't blame her. Elsa's already feeling the effects of the club this week; she's realizing now the differences in her speech, especially with Maya speaking to her now.]

Hele greia? ["The whole thing?"]

[.... Okay no that's. That's definitely Norwegian, which she's not sure Maya speaks. So instead she points to the cake before making a full circle in the air. All of it???

God, she was always bad at charades.]

[Maya speaks several languages! Norwegian is not one of them, though. She sort of blank faces at Elsa's... question? She starts to shake her head but it looks like her companion's figured out the problem as well.

Elsa might not be great at charades but... drawing a circle in the air makes total sense to Maya. She nods her head, and even from a distance it's probably obvious that her eyes are glittering.]

Yes. Yes, exactly.

[Ah, the curse of not finding the right language out of many. As a queen, Elsa's been taught several languages, to better converse with ambassadors and allies. She's conversational in a few more that she doesn't know as well, but...

Well. This is just awkward.

She'll pick the cake up though,, along with a knife and fork, and walk over to right in front of Maya. She points from the cake to Maya, then tilts her head like she's asking a question.]
