Week Five

[Last week, you had your very first minor body pileup! Granted, the Balladeer's death was entirely unrelated to anything, but at least he died as he lived - getting completely fucked up in some kind of carnival-themed hellscape. Only two days later, another terrible accident took Rina and Varian both from you. It's just been one of those weeks, huh? At least you got to add both of their corpses to your weird growing collection!

Again, you'll wake up this morning with another new snippet of memory. You'll also find that the stairs in the lobby are no longer blocked. You can only access one part of the second floor, but it seems like there's some neat stuff up there!

Outside, a few things seem to have changed. For one, the weather has turned - it'll be overcast this week, with periodic rain and even scattered thunderstorms. For another, the bushes around that rock out by the football field have bloomed. That's nice.

Well, in that case.

[She pushes off the wall and starts making her way toward the shallow end!]

You'll come and join me, right?

O-of course I will!

[He walks to the other end of the pool, but he hesitates as he stands at the edge. Even on the shallow end, he seems a little nervous about jumping in.]

[Maya casts a few glances around, looking for anything that might put his mind at ease. She spots a handful of pool noodles and points to them.]

Bring those over. We can sit on them and just practice our arm motions for now. Would that be easier?

[He brightens when she suggest that.]

That would be great! I love swimming donuts too if we got any of those.

[Spongebob takes a moment to ponder through all the supplies. He wanted to make sure he picked something that was perfect.

A few minutes later, he comes running back with a innertube with a cute watermelon design on it.]

I got it!

Perfect. Come on in, then.

[She kicks off the wall, giving him plenty of space to leap in.]

[Spongebob already seems a lot more confident with the water donut as he jumps right in, almost definately splashing Maya in the process.]

[Maya is already wet, thankfully, so she doesn't complain. Too much, that is! she does grumble a little though.]

Okay, how do you feel?

[He grins, a little amused by her grumbling.]

Better! Especially now that I have a teacher who I know will look after me!

Of course. I won't let a single thing happen to you, Spongebob. Not as long as I am around.

[She paddles back a few feet and then holds her hand out.]
