[it’s cramped in here, and isn’t the best place for a meeting, but when you have to make do, you have to make do. Once everyone’s there, Salieri will pull over a chair that he brought in and situated next to the sink, and use it as a hand hold to stand on it, before lifting a hand for attention]

Everyone, if I might have your attention, please!

[it’s loud enough to get everyone’s attention--louder than he’s spoken (except to yell at Discord lol) in quite a while. Once he has quiet, though, he’ll begin:]

Thank you all for coming. Now, I’m sure we’re all rather disturbed by what the Wizard has attempted to taunt us with this week. However, we cannot give in to fear yet. There is still much of this place to be thoroughly explored, and it would be to our benefit to once again try to organize ourselves and create not only emergency supplies for everyone here, but explore every nook and cranny of this school and outside of it and gather as much information as we can to make our escape.

[That doesn't seem to satisfy Spongebob as he gets up, goes right up to Farrah, and hugs her with all his strength.]

I know, but I worry about all you guys. A-after... [Spongebob finds himself choking up and takes a moment to catch his breath.] Farrah, I just want you to know that if you need support for whatever reason, I'm here for you. You're a great friend and I... I don't want you to feel alone.

[Farrah never imagined her childhood cartoon hero would be trying to talk her out of this. It’s almost unbearable—- but to leave him like this would be worse. She squeezes him tightly, patting his back comfortingly.]

Don’t worry, Spongebob. I know. You’ve always been a friend. Even before you were here.

[He's still very tightly hugging Farrah, but that gets him to smile.]

And I always will be your friends! No matter what happens. You're really cool and smart and I love you.

[well that sure is the last thing he wanted to hear come out of her mouth but okay. There's a kneejerk stab of panic, that automatic "no!"

Yet, that won't help anything, will it? Not yet.]

...Farrah. How do you know that?

[If she looks at him, she’s going to break, so she just doesn’t look at him.]

I asked.

[...it would be idiotic to ask why she asked. As if the answer wouldn't be obvious. So instead of asking her to clarify here, now, at the meeting, he'll step down off that chair so he can move over to her, reaching out to gently put a protective arm around her shoulders and ease her against his side, if she'll allow it. When he speaks, he drops his voice a bit lower so it's more private.]

We will discuss this later, but for now...

[he sucks in a small breath, and turns his head to gently press a kiss to the top of her head]

I love you very much. [his voice might be a little rough] No matter what.

Understand?

[Farrah nods at his assurances that they’ll speak later- anticipating a full chew-out session, even if she knows it’s not his style. But then he lowers his voice, and if she were capable of wilting any further, she would. Instead, she can only nod, tears stinging at her eyes as she leans into him.]

[he'll just quietly reach into his jacket and pull out a handkerchief for her, and hand it over]

Just...stay with me, for now?

Everyone else has said their piece to Farrah long before Varian speaks up. And when he does, it's quiet, under his breath.]

I don't want to be an only child again, Farrah.

[Well— that one gets her. Her head snaps up to look at Varian—- She’s been worrying about Annleigh, but he’s right. What about Varian?

Farrah doesn’t respond. She just throws her arms around him- burying her face against his shoulder.]

[Annleigh definitely has priority here, he won't contest that. She's her actual sister, after all.

But Varian has definitely come to see the importance of family that isn't bound by blood. So when Farrah's arms go around him, Varian doesn't hesitate to return the gesture.

He's realizing- in this moment- that it's actually the first time they've hugged each other...at least not without other people involved in it. He closes his eyes, holding her close.]

I know it's hard. This motive...it's messing me up too.

[Arguably, Varian’s already been through more with Farrah than Annleigh ever has. But this isn’t a competition, and Varian’s the one here, in front of the her. She grips him tightly, like he might slip away and vanish if she dares loosen her grasp on him. ]

I just—- want to undo it all. [She whispers against him, and he may notice the dampness against his shoulder from her shoulder eyes.]

My death, my fall... my whole life. I want it to be better.
