[it’s cramped in here, and isn’t the best place for a meeting, but when you have to make do, you have to make do. Once everyone’s there, Salieri will pull over a chair that he brought in and situated next to the sink, and use it as a hand hold to stand on it, before lifting a hand for attention]

Everyone, if I might have your attention, please!

[it’s loud enough to get everyone’s attention--louder than he’s spoken (except to yell at Discord lol) in quite a while. Once he has quiet, though, he’ll begin:]

Thank you all for coming. Now, I’m sure we’re all rather disturbed by what the Wizard has attempted to taunt us with this week. However, we cannot give in to fear yet. There is still much of this place to be thoroughly explored, and it would be to our benefit to once again try to organize ourselves and create not only emergency supplies for everyone here, but explore every nook and cranny of this school and outside of it and gather as much information as we can to make our escape.

[Annleigh definitely has priority here, he won't contest that. She's her actual sister, after all.

But Varian has definitely come to see the importance of family that isn't bound by blood. So when Farrah's arms go around him, Varian doesn't hesitate to return the gesture.

He's realizing- in this moment- that it's actually the first time they've hugged each other...at least not without other people involved in it. He closes his eyes, holding her close.]

I know it's hard. This motive...it's messing me up too.

[Arguably, Varian’s already been through more with Farrah than Annleigh ever has. But this isn’t a competition, and Varian’s the one here, in front of the her. She grips him tightly, like he might slip away and vanish if she dares loosen her grasp on him. ]

I just—- want to undo it all. [She whispers against him, and he may notice the dampness against his shoulder from her shoulder eyes.]

[Being able to go back and fix everything...to just start over? Varian understands that far more than Farrah knows.

He can tell she's crying, but he's not going to make mention of it. Instead, he'll reach a hand up, gently brushing down the back of her hair.]

We don't know if the Wizard would even grant any wishes, though. He hasn't followed through on anything else...

[Sure, the people who could have benefitted didn't actually succeed without being caught, but even then. Pulling the rug out from under them at the final hour is something he fully expects the Wizard to be capable of.]
