[One week out from the first deaths in this place, now. When you wake up on Friday morning, everything seems pretty quiet. There's nothing immediately, obviously amiss when you leave your dorms - and if maybe not everybody is in their beds at the moment, well, that's not so strange, is it? Maybe the No Murder party worked! Nobody wants to shatter Spongebob's poor little heart, right?

[This place is pretty much fine.]

[The shock is going to carry Varian through this whole thing, isn't it?

He's too dumbstrucked to even have a proper emotional response, mostly because he doesn't want to make Rina cry by showing that in front of her.

Sorry Salieri. Looks like he's got to bottle things up one more time.

He has Rina gently by the hand once they've gotten away from the locker room, and he ends up taking them all the way to the Nurse's Office on autopilot. It seems like a quiet, safe place to be right now, with nothing...dangerous.]

Let's...s-stay here for now, okay?

[He doesn't say it'll be okay, he just...needs the space to be grounding.

But it's not, is it? He's prepared to look for evidence too.]

[ Rina follows behind him, her face as blank as ever but something still clearly different and affected by what happened. She just nods and make non-committal noises when spoken to, and goes where ever she's led.

But she's also holding onto his hand super, super tightly.

[Good news, kids, things in here are quiet and for the most part clean. But there are signs that someone was in here recently.]

[Varian doesn’t even care if he loses circulation in that hand after this. Rina can hold it as tightly as she wants.

Varian has a bit of familiarity with the place thanks to being in here multiple times due to his own more minor injuries, so he can tell the place has recently been gone through.

Is there anything particular out of place to note? ]

[On an immediate glance, the cabinet that contains things like OTC pain killers and other miscellaneous drugs seems to have been rifled through. The bottles are still in there but they've definitely been pushed aside and moved.]

[Varian whispers, not expecting Rina to answer. He stiffens when LSP suddenly rushes in and passes out nearby, but…he’s going to finish up here before checking on her. Sorry LSP he just knows how you are sometimes and he’s trying super hard not to upset Rina more.

He checks to make sure no bottles are missing, but it seems everything is in order there. So someone was looking for something. Maybe they couldn’t find what they needed?

Varian gets closer, making sure to check as much as he can. Not just where the medicine is, but the other supplies. Anything missing with the bandages or gauze, or is it just with the medicine? Or, any traces of someone having been injured in any way?]

[No, no bandages or gauze is missing. There's also no signs of blood anywhere in the office.

How familiar is Varian with the supply lists?]

[after doing some investigating of his own with Farrah and Discord, Salieri breaks away from them briefly to go find Varian--and find him he does when the composer finally pokes his head into the Nurse's office.]

Ah--Varian.

[he'll step inside the Nurse's Office then, making to come closer]

There you are; I was looking for you.

[After the nurse’s office has been thoroughly investigated (and the debacle with the water bottle avoided) Varian turns on his heel when he hears a voice in the doorway. He still looks shaken, his complexion pale and the tremor in his hands only masked by the fact he’s still holding one of Rina’s as she sits on the edge of one of the unoccupied beds nearby.]

What’s going on- is everybody else okay?

[It’s…telling, that maybe he’s assuming he’s here because something ELSE happened.]

Yes, as far as I am aware, everyone else is unharmed. [the need to reassure them of that is immediate as he comes over, considering both Varian's and Rina's states]

I simply wanted to check in. [the tone of his voice gentles] We'll likely be called to the Trial room again, so....

[Varian is…struggling visibly, that much is plain. He’s managing to keep himself in one piece for Rina’s sake, but even then it’s clear that he doesn’t know what he should be doing. Not that any of them truly do.]

Yeah…yeah.

[That awful trial room. They’re going to have to go back. They’re going to have to vote on someone.

Someone else is going to die.]

Do you think, one of us…?

[He didn’t see the body or the other evidence, so he has no idea what the implications around Connor’s death in particular are yet.]

[What a question to ask, and yet more than warranted, considering the situation.

Salieri pauses at that, lips pressing into a line a bit, brow furrowing]

Truthfully, I...I don't know. I'm holding onto the hope that this was another accident, or something else that went wrong. [Salieri didn't stick around to check the body; he's relying on others for that. In fact, he didn't get a good glimpse at all]

We won't know until we've discussed it.

[Varian’s just going to sit down now, next to Rina. He’s starting to feel a little dizzy thinking about it.

Best they save actual discussion for later, but…]

On the desk, sitting in front of the mannequin seated there, is a half-drunk bottle of water.]

[This is terribly inadvisable, but if no one stops her she's gonna grab it and chug.]

[Is this about exactly half-empty, and is there anything about the bottle or water of note?]

[VARIAN WILL STOP HER IF SHE DOES DONT DRINK EVIDENCE]

Varian, no, I'm lumping dehydrated! DO YOU WANT MY SKIN TO GET ALL GROSS, VARIAN?!
