Week Two

[Last week, no murder happened! Instead, a lot of students started work on Salieri's school play, which sounds pretty cool even though it's gonna be short, several people destroyed Bigfoot and got a few mysterious clues, and Orpheus started a fire in the kitchen! All in all, not a bad first week!

Though some people might have gone to talk to Hester, she hasn't made any more public announcements. There's some new papers posted up around the cafeteria, but it looks like it's just your upcoming lunch schedule. Seems like nothing's driving you towards Rule Five except, perhaps, all of the kidnapping and how criminally boring some of you are finding the school. Maybe the Balladeer is right, and you really can just wait this out? Only time will tell!]

The two of you are very lucky to have each other.

[He Gets It. Though his own wife would probably gush over him just as much as he'll gush over her if given half a chance. He looks at his tools when she asks about them.]

This one is for cleaning. Wiping all the little hairs off in between customers, and all that. I've some towels here, I can use for steaming or whatever else.

And these are just scented oils. For healthy skin- and because they smell good.

[He picks up the two little bottles, holding them out in one hand - offering, but still letting her come to him.]

You're welcome to smell them, if you'd like.

[ Eurydice knows that the odds of Mister Barker trying to poison her are, frankly, quite low. It's not like he's telling her to drink up.

So she approaches, uncaps a bottle, and takes a very tiny sniff. It...smells really good, actually. She hasn't smelled anything that good in a long time, and she smiles as she passes the bottle back. ]

They do smell good.

[Seeing that she likes it, he gives her a smile.]

Would you like to use a little as perfume? Behind the ears, or on your wrist, I think, that's where ladies often dab theirs.

[He gives her a chance to use it, not commenting whether she does or doesn't, before taking the offered bottle back.]

[ .............that can't hurt, probably. It might even be kind of nice. Orpheus might like it. She dabs a little on her left wrist, before passing the bottle back. ]

Fancy. Guess I'm like a regular lady now, huh?

[ There's a slightly joking edge to her tone. Eurydice never thought she'd get that chance, and it almost seems silly, to wear perfume now, after all she's been through. But she is having fun, and that means something. ]

[He sets the bottle back down on the counter next to him, and crosses his arms over his chest.

At her joking tone, however, his smile widens and he lays a hand over his heart and bows to her.]

Pretty as a portrait, your Ladyship.

[ At Mister Barker's bow, Eurydice curtsies. It's very obvious that she's got no clue what she's doing, but she's having fun. ]

Oh, quite. Perhaps I'll spend a Sunday in the park.

[ that's a rich person activity, right? ]
