Week Two

[Last week, no murder happened! Instead, a lot of students started work on Salieri's school play, which sounds pretty cool even though it's gonna be short, several people destroyed Bigfoot and got a few mysterious clues, and Orpheus started a fire in the kitchen! All in all, not a bad first week!

Though some people might have gone to talk to Hester, she hasn't made any more public announcements. There's some new papers posted up around the cafeteria, but it looks like it's just your upcoming lunch schedule. Seems like nothing's driving you towards Rule Five except, perhaps, all of the kidnapping and how criminally boring some of you are finding the school. Maybe the Balladeer is right, and you really can just wait this out? Only time will tell!]

[She's-- yup, she's yelling at the machine now. This is the straw.]

I can't get a single sword out of you, but you'll give me a prop?

[ Peregrine's gonna let Cass yell. She just walks up and pats her back awkwardly, similarly glaring at the poor vending machine. ]

[It's unfortunate for the poor machine that Cassandra's temper flares so hot that - yup. She kicks it. Aaaaand immediately regrets that. She hops back, the knife dropped and forgotten, one hand clutching her foot.]

Ow - ow.

[Huffs. Well, the worst of Cassandra's temper has passed, and the back pat is appreciated, at the very least.]

Ugh, I get it. They probably don't want us all getting weaponry. Probably because they don't know what we'd try to use it on first. But couldn't this thing spit out something besides a mountain of trombones?

Oh, they don't want to give us weapons? I didn't know, I thought they wanted us to die.

Yeah, you'd think they'd make up their minds!

[Shouted not-so nonchalantly at the ceiling.]

But apparently they don't want us to die too fast.

[ Peregrine sighs and goes to examine the fake knife. ]

It's really just a prop? What the hell... Not even a dull knife, you can use those for something.

[Cassandra sticks out her arm and plunges the knife into it my god there's blood every- No, nope. There's a impressively noise squeak as the blade sinks into the handle. It leaves less than an impression on her arm.]

Even if it was real, the blade is in terrible shape.

[ Briefly, Peregrine jumps, before remembering it's just a prop knife. No one saw that, no one did. ]

...Definitely not good enough for anything I'd need.
