Week Two

[Last week, no murder happened! Instead, a lot of students started work on Salieri's school play, which sounds pretty cool even though it's gonna be short, several people destroyed Bigfoot and got a few mysterious clues, and Orpheus started a fire in the kitchen! All in all, not a bad first week!

Though some people might have gone to talk to Hester, she hasn't made any more public announcements. There's some new papers posted up around the cafeteria, but it looks like it's just your upcoming lunch schedule. Seems like nothing's driving you towards Rule Five except, perhaps, all of the kidnapping and how criminally boring some of you are finding the school. Maybe the Balladeer is right, and you really can just wait this out? Only time will tell!]

[Look, they're cute and all! Elsa doesn't mind them! But they don't look like very good teachers...]

Oh, ah, sorry! [Elsa takes Elle's hand. Not a very strong grip, but a polite one.] Sorry that we haven't chatted yet. I'm Elsa.

They, uh, tried. I kinda just watched and learned.

[Elle gives a polite shake, smiling the whole time.] It's totes understandable. There are a lot of people here.

[Ah, eternal optimism... good thing Elsa has the personification of summer as her sister, or else this might be slightly overwhelming.]

You have to hand it to them for trying, at least. Dancing with those legs probably isn't all that easy.

Right? It's super impressive, when you think about it.

[Elle giggles.]

From what I can tell it seems pretty easy, though. Here, do you want to lead, or follow?

I have... never led a dance in my life, so it might be better if you do.

[At least she's honest! She even laughs at her own "failure", shaking her head.]

Honestly, what little I know of dancing came from reading or watching. So I'll give you a fair warning that you might wind up with a lot of stepped-on toes.

That's okay! We'll take it slow.

[Elle takes the position: one hand on Elsa's shoulder, the other on her waist.]

Okay, so first you step back with that foot as I step forward with this one...

[Easy enough. After mirroring Elle's hold on her with her own hands, Elsa takes a step back when Elle steps forward; a bit too much, with her foot skipping back a few more inches than necessary.]

Oh- ah. Should I still be keeping my foot close to yours?

I think you do whatever you find comfortable? Maybe a little closer, yeah.

Okay, next you move the other foot back and to the side, while I follow you.

[Elle slowly moves her foot, giving Elsa time to mirror again.]
