Week Two

[Last week, no murder happened! Instead, a lot of students started work on Salieri's school play, which sounds pretty cool even though it's gonna be short, several people destroyed Bigfoot and got a few mysterious clues, and Orpheus started a fire in the kitchen! All in all, not a bad first week!

Though some people might have gone to talk to Hester, she hasn't made any more public announcements. There's some new papers posted up around the cafeteria, but it looks like it's just your upcoming lunch schedule. Seems like nothing's driving you towards Rule Five except, perhaps, all of the kidnapping and how criminally boring some of you are finding the school. Maybe the Balladeer is right, and you really can just wait this out? Only time will tell!]

[Elle smiles at Maya.]

Did you get all of this from that weird vending machine?

I did.

[She doesn't look too pleased about it, but it's fine.]

You are welcome to any of it, if it strikes your fancy.

Do you want to trade? I have some stuff back in my room!

[mayavericks]

That's not necessary.

[She holds up her hands, please no more junk. She doesn't need it.]

Consider it a gift, Elle-san.

That's super nice of you! Maybe I should bring out some of my stuff and see if someone else has a use for it...Oh!

[She pulls out the bottle of White Wine]

"Pear and enui", huh? Well, can't be worse than the vodka we found in Casey's room after she moved out.

Ah -- [Maya actually looks a little flustered at that. You know, exactly like a minor caught with alcohol.]

I haven't drank any, if that was what you were concerned about.

[Elle looks confused for a moment before realization dawns on her. She lets out a small giggle.]

No way! My parents gave me my first taste of wine when I was like 13. If you're going to, you should probably do it with one of the adults around just in case. Gotta be safe and all that.

[She gives Maya a wink.]

Ah -- [Her eyes go wide. She looks around the room frantically, as if expecting a teacher to appear out of nowhere.]


No, that's. That's fine!

No problem, but remember, [Elle takes both of Maya's hands in hers and looks the younger woman straight in the eye.]

I am a safe person to come to if you need anything, okay? No judgement.

[She's smiling, but she's also oddly serious?]

A-ah, of course. I will... Absolutely do that.

[Maya will not be doing that.]

[Well, Elle has no reason to believe the other is lying! She straightens up and grins.]

Good. If you need any help moving this stuff, come find me!
