Week Two
[Last week, no murder happened! Instead, a lot of students started work on Salieri's school play, which sounds pretty cool even though it's gonna be short, several people destroyed Bigfoot and got a few mysterious clues, and Orpheus started a fire in the kitchen! All in all, not a bad first week!
Though some people might have gone to talk to Hester, she hasn't made any more public announcements. There's some new papers posted up around the cafeteria, but it looks like it's just your upcoming lunch schedule. Seems like nothing's driving you towards Rule Five except, perhaps, all of the kidnapping and how criminally boring some of you are finding the school. Maybe the Balladeer is right, and you really can just wait this out? Only time will tell!]

(( No new locations this week, since y'all haven't paid in blood! Hester's office hours are still open, as are regains! Make sure to complete your first activity check by Tuesday! ))

But it had all been... great. They'd sang and acted and the energy coming off of all of them warmed Elsa's heart in a way that nothing in this place had been able to so far. It had loosened her careful hold on herself, helping her ride the energy and give it all she had alongside Cassandra and Spongebob. She was still riding that high after the final number, so when Salieri got together the afterparty, Elsa happily follows the rest to the refreshments... and hovers around the mead.]
Is this... good?
[She's never had alcohol before. Maybe a sip of wine here or there, as a bit of a customary toast during formal parties and such, but a sip was all it was. She's never really had a full glass - she wasn't sure how alcohol would react with her magic, so she had to be careful. Still... she was curious.]

[It's fascinating how in-sync Cassandra and Elsa's performances had been. A fantastic mixing of voices that made their scenes really pop. So, not only was Cassandra riding the same high as Elsa, but she had even indulged a bit in the same mead.
Alcohol wasn't customary for the rank-and-file servants of Corona's castle. More of a hobby and past time for some, but not Cassandra. She didn't touch the thought, believe it would dull her senses. The fuzziness in her head that was simultaneously setting her face aglow seemed to confirm that. Not that she terribly minded.]
And trust me... I do not drink much.

... And Elsa has to laugh. It seems the other woman has been causing a lot of that in her lately.]
Your red face seems to support that claim. Are you feeling okay?

I'm just fine! Going great! [A thumbs up! See? Fine!] How about you?
no subject
How long it has been since I've had mead! Please, you must try some, Your Highness!
[He dips a cup into the barrel and hands it over to Elsa.]

Is the alcohol very strong in this? [... Not that she's judging his cheer or anything. It's just a genuine question.] I admit, I've never had any kind of alcohol in any meaningful quantity before. I'm not sure how this will affect me.

[Swig.]
Still good.

Oh... wow. I can certainly understand now how easy it would be to, ah... go a bit overboard with this drink.

[... Oh, what the hell? If they're trapped in a mysterious facility where they've been encouraged to kill others, she might as well take these chances to try new things. While she still can.
Besides, she's norse. It would be just embarrassing if she refused to drink the drink of her people. So without further ado, she lifts the cup and takes a large swig of it - not to down the whole thing in one go, because she still has manners she hasn't quite loosened up just yet.]
... Oh! It's very sweet! [Which. You know. Honey and all. But she wasn't really expecting it to be like that.] Amazing that you were able to make all of this on such short notice.

Ah, yes, well...hence the term short mead. Most mead needs at least two weeks minimum to ferment, but this one needs only five days to be drinkable.

Is there much difference in how it tastes? Or is it just how potent the alcohol in it is?
