Week Two

[Last week, no murder happened! Instead, a lot of students started work on Salieri's school play, which sounds pretty cool even though it's gonna be short, several people destroyed Bigfoot and got a few mysterious clues, and Orpheus started a fire in the kitchen! All in all, not a bad first week!

Though some people might have gone to talk to Hester, she hasn't made any more public announcements. There's some new papers posted up around the cafeteria, but it looks like it's just your upcoming lunch schedule. Seems like nothing's driving you towards Rule Five except, perhaps, all of the kidnapping and how criminally boring some of you are finding the school. Maybe the Balladeer is right, and you really can just wait this out? Only time will tell!]

Oh, most people don't seem to enjoy my company much. I haven't the faintest idea why.

Really? That's strange. From what I've seen, most of the people here are quite nice.

Just a mystery, I suppose. [He looks over her pile of junk, maybe just picking up that plastic crown and twirling it around.] You know, I've met plenty of princesses in my time, but not so many empresses.

I'd say you're far from home, but who knows where we are now.

It seems so. I have been told of places I've never heard of, and things that...well, they seem almost impossible to me, at times.

I'm from Equestria, myself. Pretty far from your neck of the interdimensional woods, I'm guessing. There's lots of worlds out there, you get used to it. Eventually.

But we're probably nowhere near either of our universes right now.

Don't tell me-it's named after horses? Are there horses there?

Predominately, yes. Well, ponies, technically. Same difference.

[Ponies! Horses! She claps her hands together, clearly excited.]

It can get a little happy go lucky for my liking, but everyone has different tastes, I suppose.

Though it is a lot more colorful than this place. I never thought I would miss pastels.

And they're different colors, too?! Oh--

[She blushes.]

I'm sorry, monsieur, I just-I happen to love horses. I'm an avid rider, I could ride them all day!

Just about every color of the rainbow and then some.

Though you probably shouldn't talk about riding horses if you ever visit.

Oh, why not?

They'd probably take offense to it.

When a world is mostly sapient equines, horseback riding isn't really the most popular pastime.

Oh dear, that hadn't occurred to me!

And a potentially terrible faux pas has been averted. Though, since you're royalty, I suppose that would be more a diplomatic incident, I suppose.
