Week Two

[Last week, no murder happened! Instead, a lot of students started work on Salieri's school play, which sounds pretty cool even though it's gonna be short, several people destroyed Bigfoot and got a few mysterious clues, and Orpheus started a fire in the kitchen! All in all, not a bad first week!

Though some people might have gone to talk to Hester, she hasn't made any more public announcements. There's some new papers posted up around the cafeteria, but it looks like it's just your upcoming lunch schedule. Seems like nothing's driving you towards Rule Five except, perhaps, all of the kidnapping and how criminally boring some of you are finding the school. Maybe the Balladeer is right, and you really can just wait this out? Only time will tell!]

I didn't do anything special. All I did was ask him a question when he was already there. We could to back to the scene shop and see if he shows up again if we ask for him, though?

[ Eurydice leads them there, and once they're inside, she stands in the center of the room and speaks loudly. She's not quite yelling, but she's almost there. ]

Hello? President Lincoln? Are you here?

[ Orpheus raises his voice as well, also not quite yelling but very helpfully projecting so he can be heard clearly from any corner of the room. ]

Mister President? If you're still here, can you help us with something?

[ A beat. Nothing. Eurydice tries again: ]

We've taken your lessons to heart, Mister President Lincoln Sir, but we'd still like to ask a few more questions! Please!

[ Orpheus pauses after that, figuring it's probably not too polite to bombard someone with questions before they physically manifest, and waits for the President to arrive. He watches the shadows in the room carefully, waiting for them to resolve themselves into that distinctive silhouette, but when no such thing occurs he looks over at Eurydice, brows furrowed slightly in concern. ]

What do we do if he doesn't come back? [ he asks, at a more reasonable volume. ]
