Week Two

[Last week, no murder happened! Instead, a lot of students started work on Salieri's school play, which sounds pretty cool even though it's gonna be short, several people destroyed Bigfoot and got a few mysterious clues, and Orpheus started a fire in the kitchen! All in all, not a bad first week!

Though some people might have gone to talk to Hester, she hasn't made any more public announcements. There's some new papers posted up around the cafeteria, but it looks like it's just your upcoming lunch schedule. Seems like nothing's driving you towards Rule Five except, perhaps, all of the kidnapping and how criminally boring some of you are finding the school. Maybe the Balladeer is right, and you really can just wait this out? Only time will tell!]

Oh, I'm not seeking anything. I'm just taking inventory.

[It's...close? Angus does feel a bit hurt.]

Angus McFife XIII, but you can just call me Angus.

[ Oh, no Angus!! Once he corrects her, it's clear that Eurydice feels a little bad. ]

Oh, I'm so sorry! [ quick quick make it up to him ] Can I help you find something to eat? I've taken stock of pretty much the entire kitchen.

[Better to eat than walk away and leave it awkward.]

That would be wonderful. [It's breakfast and he's hungry.] What have you on your list?

[ Eurydice holds it out for Angus to examine. ]

All sorts of things. Milk, eggs, bread, fruit...I've never seen a kitchen this well-stocked before. I can make pretty much anything, as long as the ingredients are easy to come by.

Can you? [Cooking! Yes!] Do you know any good egg dishes? Preferably with meat and other hearty vegetables.

[ oh no Eurydice has already VASTY oversold her cooking skills. time to once again think fast through a social interaction. ]

Uh, I can make a decent hash, but I don't think you're gonna want to peel potatoes all morning. Or an omelette? I can make an omelette. I can also scramble eggs.

[mcfife]

I'm good with potatoes. [His hands were all starchy after helping Salieri.] Omelette. I can learn how to make a good omelette.

[ Eurydice nods, and fetches the eggs. ]

Good. Do you know what you like in yours? I usually add whatever I can find, like mushrooms.

[ It's rare that Eurydice has all the ingredients for a full omelette, but every once in a while she'll get lucky. That's a good week, when she does. ]

Er. Hm. [All of the ingredients, but to narrow it down...]

Herbs, meat, and whatever greens can be found. I believe sometimes cheese is used.

[He can find deli meats. Those are flat enough for frying.]
