week 4

[Another week, and two more dead. King Richard and Red are both gone, and once again, it was through nothing more than an accident in the heat of the moment. Maybe if you all stay calm and collected, nothing bad will happen again?

Well, maybe not.

When you wake on Sunday, you'll find that you've recovered another one of those memories - or had another dream, if you still wanna be in denial about it. The grounds remain as they are, but this time, the door blocking the stairwell has been unsealed. You can now venture up to the second floor! This is the second time that's happened; it's almost as if you get more space every time someone dies. Or maybe the whole place just seems quieter.]

Sunday | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday

(( Welcome to Week 4! Please remember to submit your AC and your memory regains, as well as your coins! You can also still contact the Phantom. ))

[It takes a second, but Stephen allows it, looking down at that hand. After another moment, he looks up, and a moment more and he's not so much leaning in to Mephisto as sort of. Grabbing him. Fingers dig in to the back of the angel's shoulders as Stephen embraces him in his own securing of that oath, mouth near Mephisto's ear-]

But I'm warning you, don't ever do
Those crazy, messed-up things that you do
If you ever do
I promise you, I'll be the first to crucify you
Now it's time to prove that you've come back here to rebuild

[Don't you dare be toying with me, he means. Because that would break something in him, and he would survive, but- he would not be the same man.]

[There's a surprising amount of force in Stephen's grasp, and Mephisto is taken aback by it enough to be led with no resistance. He listens, and while some part of him thinks to be amused by the feeble threat, the rest of him is... stricken.

He'd only just said that Stephen was his toy to break. But the idea of actually breaking him... Mephisto tells himself that it would simply be boring, but it's more than that. It's always been more than that.

He hesitates for a moment, weighing the concept of seriousness with defiance. He settles somewhere in the middle.]

I would expect nothing less.
