Yet, still, the whole thing seems...monotonous. Surely there must be some excitement, some showmanship, some sort of plot twist that could keep this show moving onward?

Hm... Do you think the Balladeer-san would look into that for you, if you requested it? It would be far from what you remember, but...having a cast member who can't sing seems like something the management would want to look into, don't you think? You could use that to try and sway them.
